LOL... maybe we just use computers more then you do.. me personally I've been using computers all my life since my mom decided we were old enough to have one without breaking it.. when I went to college at Nova Scotia Community College I was required to do a computer course.. instead I challenged for the credit, wrote one test and passed it I know that much about them... Used to do html code but its been so long I don't think I could do it any more.

That is a "Dinner plate Dahlia" it's actually a little smaller than a dinner plate, but still large.

There is a pond in the yard (with fish), but what you see in the back ground is part of the pool, or as K said (cement pond)


JmJoseph, I don't think they are edible, it would be a lot to eat :rolleyes: I think I'll try to find out.

Yesterday I did my 8 week fertilizing (I started with those 'Jobes mini spikes' 2 to a plant)2nd app after 8 weeks. I put the first 2 in my new Hybrid, which I am hand watering and keeping away from all other plants.:)

I did have to tie up a lot of plant parts that didn't want to cooperate and stay inside the cage, also put up some old metal fencing to help support, it's not pretty, but will keep them off the ground.

I might be pulling in a couple 'Mama Mias' this afternoon. I have a large San Francisco Fog that looks absolutely perfect, maybe ready by the weekend.:D

No more sign of disease, but one plant 'Big Boy' isn't looking too good, and my other 'Big Boy' still looks like a baby plant.:confused:

Only have about 5 toms and 4 just recently appeared. My first tom from a while ago is small a little bigger than a golf ball and it is starting to ripen:eek: Maybe the rest will do a little better.

K. I've come back to play... I do believe if I read the national geographic website correctly and remember it all right I do believe they are trying to grow veggies in space mind you I don't know if they are trying tom's or not. I think seeing mars would be neat... mind you I don't believe the hoaxes going around. I've got friends going on about the end of the world in 2012 and all that stuff... I just cant, won't and will not believe it until viable information from someone like nasa comes out.

This is a physiological leaf curl. The large-fruited varieties are more prone to it. Nothing can or need be done about it.

I don't see a need in worrying because nothing can be done about it anyway. I believe we will go in a tremendous catalyst of varying degrees starting soemwhere in the world. That is to say, another continent will perish first and then possibly the one we are on.

I don't think having an underground bunker with supplies to last a certain amount of time is going to do any good.

There is absolutely too much technology available to world powers as it stands right now. What different does it make actually, who does it first. They will be doing it to themselves as well.

A passive tick just enjoying what she has and living for the moment and enjoying those she loves to the fullest of her capabilities. Salute the Mayans !

Its been a while now and I realized... I don't have an avatar.
Since We've recently touched on the Mayan Culture, and I have more than a passing interest in them.

I decided to use one of their Glyphs as one, for now. It represents Earth.

I love that you chose that symbol K.. Its also very intresting looking. I was thinking of getting a myan tattoo but I wasn't sure where to begin looking for proper glyphs. I've always loved ancient culture. I love learning new things and discovering things that are used today that were actually used long ago.. for example. . I found out yesterday that a few hundred years AD the chinese actually had flamethrowers (dont you just love the ancient histroy channel) neat huh.
Got lots of planning to do today. Our friends daughters 10th birthday party is today and I've got to get her something. And I'm going to start drawing flower bed plans by my front door I get wicked good sunlight there where in my last place the windows were badly placed and I got NO sun at all and no sun around the front door we had (which was all the property we had LOL) so I get to go nuts.. might not plant anything but it'll be nice to have it all planned and marked and ready to go

Physiological in the sense that it's not a pest or disease. Some cultivars just do it more than others and some envrionmental factors such a cool temps could be involved . Any Extension home garden tomato publication talks about it.
