I guess I'm a little late to the party.

Well, jeez, then never mind everything I just said to Unky.

I said at the start that this was kind of stupid. Not only that the man would answer the phone, but also that the guy in the car would make a judgment on such flimsy evidence. But sometimes people's motivations in these things leave a bit to be desired.

Just as a note, there's nothing in the answer saying it's at night. The only reason I questioned the time being relevant is that usually this happens during certain shows, or at some specified time interval. However, to say yes to that seemed misleading. I also knew where he was going wasn't relevant, but it was kind of relevant that wherever it was, they'd expect him to be gone a while. (Assuming she really was having an affair.)

I already have another one lined up, what I think is another hard one, cause this last one was easier.

Three men die. On the pavement are pieces of ice and broken glass.

    Yup, that's all she wrote.

P.S. This one borders a bit on the ridiculous.

(Um, tried to do a nice little "agrees congrats" but apparently I need to spread my green coins around a bit.)

I don't have a ridiculous bone in me so this will be difficult. :p What??

    Are the men related?

    Are their ages relevant?

Are the men also on the pavement?

Did the glass come from a car? A bottle or bottles? A window of a building?

Is the size of the ice pieces relevant? (Wondering why they aren't melted.)

Well, just don't expect any typical behavior. :D

I had to read the answer again to answer some of these, and just laughed. Yeah, it's definitely ridiculous.

    Quote:

    Are the men related?
    No.

    Quote:

    Are their ages relevant?
    Let's call that a no.

    Quote:

Are the men also on the pavement?
    All of them, no.

    Quote:

Did the glass come from a car? A bottle or bottles?
    No and no.

    Quote:

    A window of a building?
    Yes.

    Quote:

Yes. (They aren't melted cause no matter when you post these, they always happened 2 seconds. Ago. :p)

Two men are having a drink in their apartment several floors up. First man has a heart attack and dies, and as he falls over he knocks into second man. Second man falls into window, smashes window, impales himself on broken window frame and dies. As he falls he drops the ice bucket he was holding. Ice bucket falls out of window and hits third man, who was walking by, on head - killing him. Ice and glass fall on pavement along with one dead man.

That isn't it. And it sounds like you have heard one very similar and actually know the answer.

Nope, just made a story up in my head lol. So does that mean I was close somewhere or was it all totally wrong? Did it involve an ice bucket and a broken window?

Are the pieces of ice bigger than tennis balls?

Is one of the man dead in a building on a high storey?
    - Are the two others on the pavement?

Do at least two of them know each other?

Was the ice in the building before it got crushed?

Was it winter? Was there snow? Hail?
    - Was the ice initially an ice sculpture?

I doubt seriously you would just guess this one cause it's too far-fetched -- yours was too reasonable. And it's already been established that the broken glass is from a building window.

As for the ice bucket, no.

Sorry for the long delay in getting back. Work was just super, super hectic today. I hardly had time to breath, let alone get on this site.

    No.

    Quote:

That's actually two questions. Yes there's a man dead in a building. As for high - high enough but not too high. :p

    Quote:

    - Are the two others on the pavement?
    One is.

The other... he's not "on the pavement." (I knew this question was coming. I've realized many things will be hard to answer. It's my own fault.)

    Quote:

    No.

    Quote:

Who said it got crushed? But yes.

    Quote:

    Irrelevant.

    Quote:

    No.

Is it relevant what type of building is involved? Either in the number of stories? Or the function of the building, such as hospital?

Are we talking about ice cubes? Or did you confirm crushed ice?

Are all three deaths accidental? Or are one or more of natural causes? Are there any murders involved?

Is the third man dead in a car? Or some other vehicle?

    Yes it's relevant.

    Yes.

I was just about to address that when I saw your post. I realized I seemed to be implying it was crushed. I meant yes it had been in the building. I'm sure some got crushed and some not.

Okay, one more set of questions for tonight, and then I’ll look forward to bombarding you with questions (along with Adam, Unky and others) tomorrow. :D

I don't think your yes about the function of the building necessarily verified it was a hospital. Was it a hospital?
    Is the building residential?
    Commercial?
    Governmental?
    A prison?

Did the ice cubes come from a drink?
Is an ice vending machine involved?
Is a truck carrying ice cubes involved?

We know one is natural causes and one is a murder. Is the third a murder?
    Natural causes?
    Accidental?

Is it relevant what the men do for employment?

One man is dead in the building. Did another man fall through the window of the building? If so, did he land on a vehicle? If so, did that cause the third death? (I know - this is probably too reasonable.)
