Here is a riddle that has different versions and different names used but I am going to tell it the way I heard it and it goes the same way as far as the yes and no questions.

Also I told this one before and I am sure I answered it so try not to answer if you have heard it os seen it before. Thank you very much. Here goes:

You walk into your apartment and find Fred and Wilma dead on your kitchen floor surrounded by water and glass. Barney is asleep on the couch. How did Fred and Wilma die?

Did all the three know each other?

Nobody ever makes there assumptions right off the bat, but I believe you though because you just put a few clues together and went off some of the other questions other people ask and it makes it a bit easier. A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator -- or if it was raining that day -- he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his apartment.

Why?

Back on Barney. I think it's a lot because I asked if he was human. I've not heard that one before, but for some reason I just got it into my head that Barney was not a person - I mean, who else would be curled up asleep oblivious to someone's death? It did in fact occur to me that Barney killed them (though I didn't think how).

It also did occur to me that Fred and Wilma were not humans either, and I almost just asked about all 3 all at once, but decided to get the answer on Barney first. (That's what I get - whole thing passed me by when I was busy working.)

As soon as I realized Fred and Wilma were not human, I was basically already onto the idea as well.

EDIT: Probably doesn't hurt that I just watched Fish Called Wanda again recently. LOL.

As for the man in the apartment, I've heard that one... except there wasn't the exception of "unless someone's in the elevator or it's been raining" when I've done it. I get the someone else in the elevator part. I'll have to think about what rain has to do with it.

By the way, this is a super common one. I need to find the circus one - I haven't seen it online anywhere except for where I originally heard it.
