My house was built in 1958, I have the original breaker box, and a new one. The old breaker box is now a sub-panel (all this work was done before I moved in)
I have been living here 2 years, and no problems.

Today the plugs in the house do not work, but all the breakers are on. I also found out that all bedroom plugs, kitchen plugs (including fridge) and some garage plugs (including garage Fridge) are all out, so I believe them to all be on the same circuit.

Is this a bad breaker? Could it be caused by having all those plugs on one circuit?

Are all the plugs in house without power?

The plugs that are out, are they powered by the sub panel?

Do u have power in the sub panel?

The fridges should be on circuits by them self.

I have been trying to map the circuits in this house but they make absolutely no sense.

All of the old plugs (original) are powered through the sub-panel (original) I also have some new plugs in the garage that are powered by new circuits in the main (new) panel.

All of my circuit breakers are in the on position, I have manually switched each one off then on.

All of my plugs in the kitchen (original plugs) are out as are my bedrooms (original) but in my garage I have a fridge plugged into what I thought was a new plug because it is in conduit and not the old paper wiring, so I thought they should not be on the same circuit since the newly added electrical runs off the newly added panel.

I agree that fridges should be on separate circuits, which I will add the near future here.

My main question is, since they have been working fine for months, could this outage be a bad breaker, since they all say on, but the plugs do not work?

Now Weirdness! The power came on when I switched on My A/C and went out again when I turned it off. How does that happen?

Edison problem, they came and fixed their pole!

That was going to be my guess, you had one side of the power feed go bad.
