    No, in this case you're replacing the original switch with a transmitter.

    OR, one of my other suggestions, a long time ago, was just to buy a second handheld transmitter i.e. a universal remote. Then they would just leave the wall switches alone.

    Aha. Problem gone.... "Make sure it's an RF wall control and not a hard-wire one."

    So you really meant meant... "a hard-wired RF wall control replacing the original switch." Now I understand. nm:)
