How long have you had her?

Dogs that bounce from home to home really don't know which end is up. Just be patient with her and don't get mad if she does pee.. Act like nothing is wrong. Dogs who pee like that pee submissively. They're scared something bad will happen. If you don't know your dogs history, then there is a good chance she was abused at some point. Just give her lots of love and treats and make everything very positive. She'll stop peeing eventually.

If you feel as if this is a medical issue, then get her checked out. Dogs who have had lots of litters can get incontinence. They can get it from being spayed and of course age. She can also be born with this medical condition. A vet can diagnose this for you and prescribe a little pill to help her out. If its medical, then she can't help it.

But from the sounds of it, she is peeing submissively. Submissive peeing is just a little bit. Rarely is it an actual pee.

But just relax and allow her to start trusting you. If you want to, you can purchase doggie diapers for her peeing. They're a pain to change, but can save carpet and couches!

    Good luck

Has she been checked over since her litter? Has she been spayed?

It may take time, but it sounds like submission urinating. Was she abused before you got her? What are you doing when you notice that she is urinating on the floor?

Sorry for all the questions, but if you can answer these for me, I can give you a more detailed response.

You may want to consult your vet, but it may be because of anxiety she experiences, due to her change in environment and adjustment, or due to any experiences with past owners.

It could be submissive peeing. Or it could be excited peeing.

They both have the same solution.

But let me ask a few more questions to make sure what is happening. Because she could also have some weak bladder problem after her pregnancy.

Does this normally happen when you first see the dog when you are coming home from work or from some other absence? Does she approach you, head down, maybe shaking and rollover and pee lying on her back? If so, its probably submission peeing.

Or, does this normally happen when you are playing with her? Does she wag her tail violently and perhaps her body shakes and she runs around uncontrollably? She then might squat in front of you and pee. If so, this is excited peeing.

The solution for both of these is to become more aloof with your dog. Do not talk nor touch the dog when she is in an excited state. Ignore her when you come home, no touch, no talk and no eye contact, until she settles down. Just go about your business. When she is calm, maybe just lying down and relaxing, then is your cue to give her love and affection. She will put two and two together and understand that you want her to be calm and quiet.

For both of these, I also suggest you get a Cesar Millan book or the DVD's. Both you and your dogs will benefit from your learning some dog psychology so that you can identify the symptoms of any other problems which may come up and learn how to handle them.

However, if your dog is going back to the door and signaling that she needs to go back out and relieve herself right after she has just relieved her bladder, then the problem may be physical. I'd consult a vet.

    I hope this helps.
