    International divorce
My husband is an American citizen; we now have a 4 months old son. He used to live in Haiti and there was married and had a son from that marriage. His son is now8 years old. He got divorced 5 years ago in Haiti as well. His ex-wife is now living in the US and is demanding financial support. The problem is that my husband is not working for the moment, he is willing to support his son, but simply can't do it now. His ex-wife is threatening to get him arrested for non support. Is that possible, since they were married and divorced in Haiti, and also since he is not working?
His ex-wife is not an American citizen/legal alien here; my husband recently applied for his son to legally live in the US, the application is still in process

From the sounds of it, no he can't go to jail.

I find it funny. She is threatening to send him to jail when she is in America illegally! Next time his son is visiting, keep him and go to a lawyer.

She won't be able to do anything cause you can have her deported since as you say she is not a legal alien.

Thanks for your reply CaptainForest. To me the worst it is that my husband wants to support his son, if only she could be a little bit patient.
