Maybe she was just nervous and thought she was impressing you.

Best way to go about it is to act as if nothing happened, this way, you're not obsessing over it. You called her, now the ball's in her court. If she calls back, great. If not, then she'll have to find someone else.

She sounds like a material girl that the world revolves around her...
But she may not be all that bad.
Either you need to get more of YOU into the conversation or accept it being all about her.
I think when you try to get more about you into the conversation it will give you a better idea where things go with her. Even if it is things as simple as saying I know what you mean one time that happened to me and...
My sister was like that always turning the conversation right back on her and it was like you might as well not even be in the room.

Money, shopping, and traveling? I wouldn't go out with a guy that talks about those things constantly.

This was the impression I got. When we spoke on the phone, I had an idea. However, when we met in person, I saw right through the person she was being on the phone.
