Its true that you won't catch a guys eye if your insecure, shy and don't give a sh!t about your appearance, I was just that in school but I didn't want to date in school that much anyway.
I made myself up if I went out but that was it.
At least try to look presentable if you want to snag a guy.
Don't complain because your ugly, people are only ugly if they want to be.

Funny... nowadays there are lot of stuck ups who are not so pretty... I've to disagree with u... I knew this girl... she doesn't wear a lot of make up... she actually looks like a geek... but she has the worst personality... she used the " i understand where you'r.e coming from" technique and had the guy who got his girlfriend pregnant dumped that poor girl for her... she used her inferiority complex to gain pity

So if a guy likes those girls, it could mostly be for the wrong reasons. He just wants her for her body or her money or whatever! He is not worth going for and I definitely agree they're stuck-up, there a lot of those at my school-more then you know and I go to a public high school... anywho, if there is a guy that likes a girl for her personality go them! Whoo-hoo! If they like a girl for her looks, forget him. And maybe it's because also it's from peer pressure and they want to look cool and all that but there's this guy who doesn't like a girl-like the ones you mention because she can use him for his money, so not all guys are definitely like that. You'll find a guy who is definitely worth it and not shallow. Just wait and see!

It may be that way in high school, but as people grow older they'll mature and look at personalities. People looking for a fling look at the superficial qualities in a person. Someone looking for a relationship and a long-term partner want someone they're compatible with and who they enjoy being around, so they look at personalities. As people get older and mature, they look less at flings and at long-term relationships. This may be the case now, but don't worry. You'll find someone who likes you for you... guaranteed.

Well if you want my advice, those guys who drowl over those walking barbie dolls, then there really not worth your time, but hey guys like that are just airheaded losers and you should just forget about them and move on, believe me there are way nicer, cuter, and smarter guys out there.

Personally (Male 17) I like a girl who can clean up nice (ie: make-up, clothes) but while I like that I want them to be fairly intelligent and a nice personality who isn't an absolute ! That has happened to me. I dated the hottest girl in school but she tried to F*** me over so I dipped, She was a real and it turned out it only took a situation like that to make the "shy girl next door" girl to take over and ask me out And while she was not the prettiest she was diffidently the most beautiful one.
But going back to your you like their personallity do they know that? Guys want a girl they can actually comunitcate with lol you don't show them your in then they pass on its young life live it up while you can right?
