    Trump Fiddles While Rome Burns
Trump golfs while America starves and is evicted from shelter.

So if Trump was not a golfer, then COVID would be under control by now? That's kind of wild. And America is starving? You must be taking some gross exaggeration meds.

If Trump were not the president, then COVID would be under control by now. And yes, America is starving. Efforts to get food to and even prepared and hot meals to hungry Americans are mind-boggling!

There is not one shred of evidence to support that. And when you consider the dozens of other nations where COVID is still an enormous problem and yet Trump is NOT the pres there, then it just becomes absurd.

You are plainly both on the same meds. It's just a ridiculous suggestion.

It's a major story in the newspapers and on tv news channels. People have lost their jobs, businesses have gone under, renters are being evicted, shelters are overwhelmed. Plus, this country is still recovering from the fires out west and the hurricanes in the Lake Charles area.

There is no major news story that "America is starving". Times are difficult for many people thanks largely to this pandemic, but to say that America is starving is shrill exaggeration on steroids squared.

You are certainly out of touch! Even the food pantries in the upper-income county where I live are pleading for donations.

OK. Have it your way. The whole country is starving since your food pantries are getting low, but I would suggest that you go to Somalia and bring in some people from there. I think they could give you a much more accurate understanding of what it means to say that a country is starving.

I suppose you are going to say that you really meant that America was undergoing some hardship, but I spun your words to mean something along the lines of, "American is starving."

First state in the nation to pass 2 million cases of COVID is the Trump-led, republican stronghold of...California??? Hmm. Looks like those liberal dems aren't too good at combatting the virus.

From the statistics the pelicans don't fare much better, in fact the pelican in chief is a covid denier

Fact is food banks and charitable organizations are passing out records amounts of food and asking for more donations. Yeah we have a vaccine for covids, but you still have to eat and maintain MONTHS for that to happen.

The dufus doesn't care. He's still making money from donors and throwing crap in the game. You think he could have been telling Mnuchin and repubs what he really wanted before they negotiated this deal he refuses to sign?

Naw to busy trying to keep his title by hook or crook, like he does everything else he has ever done.

It wasn't the deal he wanted, like a true pelican he wanted to give more money to the poor, doesn't sound like him, does it? doesn't sound like them either. No, they just gave him an excuse to send the bill back and waste more time, bringing those politicians back from the Christmas break to vote again.

The whole thing is ridiculous. They could attempt to buy votes for much less than 900 bil. The vast majority of the proposed spending of money we don't have is for foreign aid or domestic pet projects. I wish he would veto it.

Veto to take a stand. That's how we got to this crazy place. The republicans in Congress tried to do it with Obama, but the left wing media, which is to say nearly all of the media, portrayed it as the republicans trying to shut down the government. Well, it's time to say, "Enough."
  • Dec 27, 2020, 04:23 PM

yes enough, shut down your corrupt government and let the population eat cake.

Well we, like you, can continue to spend our way into oblivion, or we can become adults and put a stop to it. And I might add that most of our population actually is able to eat cake as they wish. It's what self dependence in a free enterprise system does for you. It does begin to lessen once people become conditioned to sucking off the teat of mother government.
