OUTRAGED at that poor woman who was deported to Mexico the other day. Came here 22 years ago as a child. Now the mother of two children, she was caught in 2008 with a phony social security number so she could get a job to feed her family. She reported every year to the authorities but this year (Wednesday) they decided to arrest and deport her.

Under the Obama Administration she was granted leniency.

Under the Trump Administration she is considered a violent criminal.

The previous president, presented with the same set of circumstances, applied the law like any decent human being would - with justice AND mercy.

The number wasn't 'made up' ; she was caught using someone else's Social Security number.She was using a numberregistered to a man in Tucson. She was also using a 3rrd person's Resident Alien Card number . So identity theft, and using forged documents are ok ?

But his problems did not end there .He has gotten repeated letters from the IRS demanding thousands of dollars in back taxes for wages paid to someone using his name and Social Security number Miranda watched his once-high credit rating plummet as creditors reported unpaid bills incurred by others.

The man whole stole Miranda's identity did it to feed himself and family also . There are thousands of similar cases every year. People spend a lot of time and money cleaning up the credit history damage caused by illegals using stolen identities . Your sympathies are with the wrong people .

My point here is that Rayos was caught, convicted and sentenced by a US Court of Law. She has abided by that sentence for 8 years. She has not committed any further crimes. So what ICE did was to overturn a standing court's sentence without due process. This is a shameful episode and is not what America is all about.

Yes I do believe that identity theft is a serious crime and should be punished to the full extent of the law. But I also believe that the law should be applied with mercy and compassion when applicable.

Thanks Tal for answering the question and beating me to it. Rayos is a perfect example of how mercy and compassion were used. From what I understand the 2.5 million illegals were deported because they represented a danger to American society. Rayos did not and does not.

Again Rayos was caught, tried, convicted and sentenced. Her sentence should have been honored.

This is where all of the liberals can help. They can sponsor one of the illegals if that illegal is not making 25,000 a year income. All they have to do, is sign that if that alien gets any welfare they will pay the government back, Same as I had to do with my wife.
