No I sick of watching grown men behave like children, biff and bash is not what I'm interested in, we outlawed the spear tackle so now they have invented the throw tackle, soon the game will be like yours with massive protection necessary as these thugs battle it out. The game has changed since it has become like your professional football and the sportsmanship and fairness has left the game. Tactics are that three men tackle the man with the ball causing as much damage as they can, that is not football, that is tag wrestling

Extreme sports carnage, I love it. Actually, the NFL pros are very skilled athletes and that's what I enjoy, the beauty of a perfectly timed pass, that one handed grab for a touchdown, breaking free of those three men for a long run, a punt downed inside the two, DeMarcus Ware chasing down Eli Manning... good stuff.

Tell him he's dreaming, doesn't happen speech, when they hit you, you stay down, either speared into the ground with a spear tackle, or thrown martial arts style like a rag doll, The fines mount up and still they don't get the message

    That was good, Spit.

With all this lockout crap the football news has been sparse, and now the fast and furious transaction period I'm going to have to do a crash course on who is where before the draft. All I know is it's bittersweet to see Marion Barber get cut and it's a crap shoot as to who'll end up getting the RB duties this year. Could be the new guy...

    Hi Spitvenom.

You call that a touchdown! Now this is a 'touchdown'

    Thanks Clete,

I know you are not into Rugby League.

However, what it shows is the quarterback(halfback) and running backs(centres) scoring touchdowns (try) without the need for an offensive line.

In Rugby League the ball carrier sometimes needs to evade 5 or 6 players to score. No dream run to the goal line (try line).

Go the Tigers. Making their run at the right time. YES.

Now you know that's not right sometimes there is a dream run, wasn't there one in the origin series but our game is not designed to score off forward passes, but off forward kicks and running the ball down the field. We have seen some beautiful up and unders and the beauty of it, it is done with the feet as in foot ball not the hands without some predetermined strategy or set play

Not frightened a bit. Romo/Dez/Miles and Witten are going to shred opposing defenses.

Please Steve no one can throw on Nnamdi and DRC isn't a much better option to throw at. That is if Romo isn't on his back by Babin and Jenkins!!

Just because no one DID throw against him doesn't mean no on can throw against him. I think we open with the Jets so we'll be warmed up by the time the Iggles come around. Should be fun to see the Ryan twins go at it.
  • Aug 1, 2011, 08:41 AM

Yeah it should be fun to see Rex and Rob go at it. I really thought the Cowboys were going to sign Nnamdi after the Iggles got DRC. If you ask me I think Lurie is tired of being embarrassed by the Phillies and all the moves they make.
