    RIP Ted Kennedy
If you haven't heard, Sen. Ted Kennedy succumbed to his brain tumor. Whatever any of us think of him, he was a passionate voice and loved by many. My condolences to the Kennedy family.

    Now be nice...

The Kennedys helped give a voice to the irish people looking for work visa's in America.
I always liked them as a family, for my two pence worth,Ted's death is getting a lot of radio air time in ireland today,he was respected here.

The Kennedys were a long time voice in American politics. I didn't agree with him most of the time. I downright DISAGREED with him on just about every issue that came along. But he was a passionate voice for his positions.

The passing of Teddy Kennedy heralds the end of an era in American Politics and in the "American Camelot" mythology that so many Americans found romantic.

Truth is, when you compare the political dynastic families in American Politics, the Kennedy Family held a special place in the hearts of the American people that the Bush Family and Clinton Family and even the Rockefeller Family (three of the most powerful political dynasties in US history) could never reach. We have now come to the end of that era.

I find that most people besmirch themselves with their own actions. I just have a tendency to point it out to them and the rest of the world. I find that Tom has a similar way of dealing with it.

Maybe you should read the verse...

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Not being a Christian, I say it differently.

He who is not a Liberal when they are young has no heart. He is not conservative as they grow old has no brains.

(Personally, I never had a heart. I was always a conservative like this... )

Ahhhh, but SOME people here clearly never put away their childish things and have no desire to do so even now.

Who is the better man... the one who comes to his positions from birth or the one who had to WORK for it. You had to work for it, I didn't.

I have a lot of respect for you, Tom.

Uh, NK, I don't think tom needed the bible to tell him that, I think he was using the bible to tell YOU something.

There's what you don't get. I DO listen to what you tell me. I then weigh it against other data and determine whether you are correct or not. It's called ANALYSIS.

Do you really feel unheard by others? That must be sad.

See that's exactly what I do too but speech feels the need to tell me that someone else is sending me a message. Weird.

As usual you have it all wrong, which was the point of what led you to this silly notion.

Whenever I thought about Ted Kennedy, I was reminded of a great quote from the film "Animal House". "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life". I find it offensive that his many flaws and hyprocrisy have been whitewashed over the years. Many conservatives careers' have been ruined for far lesser sins. If a teenager acts stupid, it can be forgiven as youthful inexperience, but Kennedy acted like a moron until he was approaching 60. Mary Jo Kopechne's family can finally have some closure. He will not be missed.
