We haven't done so bad being a country of immigrants and huddled masses, despite our bloody history of the worst of humanity. Guess we keep working to do better. Nobody in the middle class is making money even with the repub tax cuts, since prices and the cost of living far exceed wage growth. Go visit the mid west if you want to see ghost towns.
