A conservative activist claims that during the presidential campaign Barack Obama abandoned his past support for same-sex "marriage" because it was politically expedient.
A newly-uncovered questionnaire Barack Obama filled out in 1996 for a Chicago pro-homosexual newspaper reveals that while running for the Illinois State Senate, he favored legalizing same-sex marriages and vowed he "would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages."
How soon, if at all, do you expect Barack Obama to move toward legalizing same-sex 'marriage'?
Matt Barber, the director of cultural affairs at Liberty Counsel and Liberty Alliance Action, says it is not surprising that Obama was for homosexual marriage before he was against it.

"Despite the platitudes that he's thrown out during the election saying that he believes in traditional marriage, his actions and prior words show that he unequivocally defends and agrees with the ridiculous and oxymoronic notion of same-sex marriage," he contends. "He has called for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). He has congratulated homosexuals in California who entered into so-called marriages after the activist California court out there imposed same-sex marriage on the people of California."

Barber notes that the same DOMA that Obama wants to repeal is the last line of defense that is preventing same-sex marriage from spreading like wildfire from states like Connecticut and Massachusetts to places like Virginia and Tennessee.

I've said it here several times already. Obama is a puppet. I don't know just whose puppet, but he will move as someone pulls his strings.

These days there is always a team of people who help get a President elected and the President in kind supports some of their agenda's, it was not different for George Bush.

Have US President's become simply figureheads and speechmakers for there respective parties? Yes, I know this is true; because if it was the most qualified person to become President neither George W. Bush or Barak H. Obama would have become President.

These days you have to look good on TV, you have to be able to deliver a speech and arouse the emotions of the electorate. Anything more than that get's lost on most people, it's rarely about policy.

How shallow have the American people become?

As for President Obama flip flopping during the campaign, he sure might have and so did John McCain. It's all part of getting elected first and then implementing your true intentions.

Let's however hold our judgement until he actually does something or nothing about the issue of gay marriage while in office. You can judge him then if he wasn't consistent with what he said, but until then you are simply fear mongering. I think we've had just about enough of that.

Let's give President Obama a chance and then judge him fairly.

What makes Obama attractive is that he is not overly cynical, measured in what he says, is dignitive and refreshing. Those are impressive qualities that restore a lot of goodwill towards the US, in my opinion.

A) There are no revelations that a "conservatist activist" would make subject of someone not of his own ideology!

B) It's the nature of all pollutions (politicians) to change direction based on elect-ability.

C) Same sex unions is about the homosexuality issue. Considering all the foreclosures, unemployed, and wars, I personally didn't vote for Barack Obama based on his views for or against same sex unions.

DOMA passed by large majorities of both Houses of the Legislative Branch . It will not be easy to repeal.

I personally don't care if there is same sex marriage or not. It's none of my concern, and doesn't concern me. People spend too much time on this, make it legal, or don't... S__t or get of the pot, we've got bigger fish to fry! I know people who are gay, and they do not offend me. What they do is their own business.

The new president Barack Obama learned his FIRST lesson in getting elected again.
He has the right skin color to get the 96% of the black community to vote for him and that along with the Puerto Ricans and Mexicans So that's a shoe in. Now he is already setting himself up to win more of the gay communities to be there friend. So lets do the math for the next election and OOHH yes he WILL run again. Lets look at the next election on votes
90 percentile of black votes or more
75% of Puerto Ricans votes or more
75% of Mexicans votes or more
75% of Cuban votes or more
75% of Jamaicans or more and other cultures votes
And now lets see if he plays his card right 75% or more of the gay votes. And still holds on to enough of the white votes which voted about equally for him and McCain so where does that leaves us. Hhhmmm and it no surprise that Git Mo prisoner's were left loose to help keep the white liberal happy and the Middle east Americans too. He is not stupid
Just so you don't think I'm picking on other cultures because I'm white and I work with the blacks and the Puerto Ricans and even some Jamaicans and oh yes some of my best customers were gay and two of my best renters are gay men and I respect them. I'm a Conservative basic white American. And since Mr.President Obama is our president lets respect the highest office in the land. And STOP calling him African American that really doesn't apply to the highest office in the U.S. The more I'm reminded of that the more the race issues will not go away because obviously he got in by the heavy votes of the black Americans which accounts for 12.8 of population 13% of the Puerto Rico pop Lets do it back wards 61% of white Americans left in pop. Wait till his third year to start campaigning for a second term and man will the push for new gay laws and more welfare and etc etc. In a nut shell he KNOWS what is now proven. He won't need the white American vote nearly as much as he thought for his first campaign. How shallow have the American people become? To answer that statement is simple The black community usually vote heavier towrads the liberal side because of welfare and Gov programs. And WHY do you think Hillary Clinton was In Puerto Rico last year dah. To get there cousins and uncles up here to vote back here in the States.. I know that for a fact I partly live In Puerto Rico working there in the winter for 22 years.I was down there last winter when she and hubby were there. Here's a good one to show that reason Puerto Rico Gov budget is 9 billion for 4.9 million there in pop. The US upper states Gov sends annually 15 billion not to mention the other grants etc That I also know for a fact According to their OWN San Juan Sun paper of the Gov Budget report Not Bias simply it was the local Puerto Paper.
So we can talk all the politics of the this or that and really its mostly indencidentials. This is all about simple basic people and numbers. Artlady That is another fact and I have friends and my wife's brother lives in Florida. They aren't hillbillies either one of them is a pilot my wife's brother. Where were you the night and morning of the Election? Certainly not paying attention to CNN or World news and any of the Major stations . THEY publicly announced t counting of the POLLS of the votes electoral votes by state and by the black Culture. It was even in the major papers. My husband works for a garbage company, recycling is a normal way of life, HE does the Earth Day events for his company, he does all the promoting stuff for a greener Oregon. Well, his company used to get paid for the recyclables they pick up every week. His company pays their customers $1.50 to go and pick up. A year ago, the bigger company that takes all the recyclables, said sorry guys, we are full... we have been taking all this stuff for the last ten years, we have so much built up that we are only offering money for certain things. That was a year ago... now they pay nothing, we have a landfill of recyclables, hubbys job still pays the $1.50 for people to do it, and they pay for the trucks that are specific to recycling. They will be cutting our benefits a lot, and they are trying hard not to lay someone off, but we all know what will happen.. That is my closest connection to economy and environment. (And the fact that I am very connected to the oil industry up in Alaska) I see money, jobs, and I see an impressive safe environment there. Not only that, we have wind power... oh yes, love the idea of taking jobs from coal miners, and giving it to the Chinese to make our wind mills... NOT COOL! They are not going to train the miners to work the wind power plants are they? Just a couple of examples.

Health care, yes, a change needs to happen. All I can say is corruption and greed. We can all pretty much agree on that, right?

Our rights, well, it has been said we have the right to bear arms, will he be taking that away to a certain extent? I would have to say yes, he will if he is allowed.

I see President Obama as a great speaker, he has obviously given a lot of people hope. I just worry it will be false and we will never know it till it is too late. Just my opinion. Just my fears. My worries. I think he is a handsome, courageous, smart, history making man, but that just doesn't cut it for me.

He has a big job, I really want to say I hope he stands up and does it. But I worry that if he does, we will be living in a hell not to far away.
