Di knew fame was part and partial when she married the probably future King of England. She tried to put it to good use .Neither she ,nor Lennon ,nor Bristol have signed up for the treatment .....

    So?

She's the daughter of Sarah Palin. She has been the subject of the obsessive media since Sept 2008 . Why shouldn't she cash in since her name is dragged through the mud anyway ? Were Carter's or the Clintoon's daughter treated that way ?

    Hello again, tom:

Nobody is saying she shouldn't cash in. They're just saying there are downsides to doing so. Did Carter or Clintoon's daughter cash in?? Noooo, they didn't...

Unwed mother need to make a buck; speaking engagements about Family Values™ don't seem to pay the rent I guess.

Sarah is the one who should have done the responsible thing and aborted Trig, who is just a financial burden to society.

LOL! Lennon was a musician. Princess Di married into Royalty. Bristol Palin's claim to fame? Daughter of a vice presidential candidate. Unwed mother whose child is being raised by her family while she is dancing her way into the hearts of millions.

Re: "signed up for the treatment" You are right about Lennon & Princess Di. They never expected the "treatment" they received. No one did. Very, very sad outcomes that should be used as food for thought by anyone considering stepping into the spotlight. You would think what happened to them AND the hateful stuff that has been directed at Sarah Palin would have given them an inkling as to what to expect.

    Exactly!

Tom, Carter & Cintoon's daughters were under the media's scrutiny while their fathers were in office as POTUS. They never had a choice in the matter. We hear about them from time to time but they certainly weren't/aren't reality TV stars. If Sarah gets voted into that position, I will more than likely come to the defense of her children. Right now, everything is of their own making. As a caring person I can be concerned for the young woman's welfare but I can't feel sorry for anyone who has purposefully jockeyed themselves into the spotlight.

Just thought I'd throw this in here for y'all to have a read: BBC News - Will Sarah Palin run for president?

Personally, I believe that if Mrs Palin ever became President then the USA would become an even bigger laughing stock on the International Stage then it already is.

Sort of like your aircraft carriers ? So Ben... where is that bust of Churchill being displayed these days ?

We don't have Aircraft carriers anymore as we don't have any planes that can fly off them ;)

Lol I wonder if you could defend the Falklands today.

Anyway... today Palin's 2nd autobiographical book is published. By current standards, that makes her qualified to be the President.

But I kind of like her in her role as the new Will Rogers .

Tom, You don't need an Aircraft carrier to defend an Island, that's why we've traded ours in ;)

What's her second book called, Advanced Colouring By Numbers...
