Will be interesting to see the liberal outrage on this board about the children caged like stray dogs on the border. Well, it would be an outrage if Trump was doing it. Biden will get the ole double standard pass.

I'm hearing that Quid an company are turning the San Diego Convention Center into a "temporary' permanent illegals processing center for minors . I guess they will get a front row seat for Comicon. 1,400 initially . I'm sure they will have luxurious accommodations, and properly socially distanced .

I got a radical idea that would end the problem tomorrow . Immediate deportation . Once the word starts spreading that Quid's open border agenda is at an end ;you would be surprised at how fast the crisis that they refuse to call a crisis would end.

BTW ;Quid did what President's do when there is something that is a no win for them to do .....he handed it off to his VP .

Same for the Dallas Convention and a few military bases. Don't know why you righties hate KIDS, or need a heavily armed gunboat to tour the Rio Grande.

Biden, thank God, does not think in those Trumpian terms - as a novel presence in the WH, he is trying to deal with a difficult problem, among others at the moment. As a nation, we should practice what we preach.

Drug cartels and criminal gangs and mobs have been around since the beginning of time and it's not like we don't have those same conditions in American neighborhoods. Things haven't changed much since your old articles from the last decade have they?

Day 66. A works in progress and in the grand scheme of things to early to call...unless you're the opposition and want to score points.

    From NBC news.

"There was a 28 percent surge in apprehensions at the southern border from January to February of this year, the most recent and complete data point from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) available right now. The Trump administration saw a 31 percent surge in migrant apprehensions from January to February 2019.
But Biden specifically mentions children, and that’s where his facts are incorrect. There is a far bigger surge of unaccompanied minor children right now than there was two years ago. From January to February 2019, there was a 31 percent surge in children stopped by CBP. From January to February 2021, there has been a 61 percent surge in those stops.
What’s more, the February numbers do not address what’s happening right now in March. As of March 23, there were 4,962 children in CBP custody, well above the 30-day average of 3,243, according to an update from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security Wednesday.
In mid-March, the Federal Emergency Management Agency was brought in to help handle the surge of migrants children. On March 18, FEMA awarded $110 million in supplemental funding to feed and shelter migrants."

You wear a mask because you can be a spreader to anyone not vaccinated. You're safe now, but I and the others who haven't gotten one or both shots are vulnerable.

Um, sorta maybe. The article was published on April 1 -- April Fool's Day.... From that article:

"Vaccinated people can still be infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and suffer the symptoms of COVID-19, though this happens at a much reduced rate and severity, and vaccination eliminates the risk of death.

But the most important part of the recent CDC findings is that vaccinated people are very unlikely to suffer
    asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections."

You can't be a spreader if you don't have it. If a vaccinated person can have it, then the vaccine is not very effective. But even at that, the masks are only marginally effective, especially considering that they are frequently not worn properly.

If you are with someone who has covid, with symptoms or not yet, the virus can spread from that infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe heavily, and go onto your hair, lips, into your eyes. Then you visit your Aunt Louise, as yet unvaccinated, at her home. As you kiss her hello and chat with her, those particles can float onto her.

Again, you can't be a spreader if you don't have it, and if you've taken the vaccine, and if it's effective, then you don't have it.

Yes, you can be a spreader. If you're with an unvaccinated person(s) for any length of time, especially if there's any touching, hugging, kissing, etc., please take a bath or shower when you get home and change your clothes before going out again.

Excellent, tomder! "Studies and investigations of outbreaks all point to the majority of transmissions occurring as a result of infected people spewing out large droplets and small particles called aerosols when they cough, talk or breathe. These can be directly inhaled by people close by."

When any person yawns, sneezes, coughs, speaks, snd even just breathes, saliva droplets spray into the air -- and into the noses and maybe open (talking, yawning) mouths of others. Thus, the mask wearing and social distancing should be done even by those who've been vaccinated -- because unmasked vaccinated people will then carry those droplets in their mouths and noses and spray/spread them to others.

The article said nothing about that, thus your "thus" is really a stretch. I doubt there is any evidence whatsoever for that kind of secondary transmission occurring. Certainly it would seem to be wildly unlikely.

"Having close contact with someone who is infected is a much more common way to get infected, the agency said."

So why does my hematologist and his medical staff, who've gotten both shots, continue to wear masks and maintain social distancing from their patients? Why??? So they don't spread covid bacteria in droplets that unsymptomatic patients cough, sneeze, and breathe on them and that they then inhale and spread to unvaccinated patients.
