As usual private efforts are already working while the Feds are still talking about how they will help.
Locally we are collecting goods and delivering them to Greenville Airport so a volunteer helicopter pilot can fly the goods into NC . The roads in are still impassable and will be for a long time . Some towns lost their water plants so sending fresh water is an immediate need. Maybe the Feds provide a more permanent solution down the road . But the needs are now.

Already there are severe shortages of goods here in the hurricane zone. Forget about fresh food. Many stations have not taken delivery of gas ;and gas went fast with people filling cans for generators . Regular traffic is disrupted with street lights still out and trees still blocking roads .

My electricity came back after 2 days . But I am just south of the major areas hit . I am staying off the roads . No sense in getting in the way of linemen and other emergency services.

Keep in mind ;the man who was the mastermind of the Oct 7 attack on Isreal ;Yahya Sinwar ,was in prison in Israel and was later released in a hostage for terrorist exchange. This was the deal that got Israel soldier Gilad Shalit released in exchange for 1,026 terrorists including Sinwar. He had been in jail serving consecutive life sentences for the murder of two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians he considered to be collaborators.

I am happy that there will be hostage release and the families will have a resolution. But let's not kid ourselves . This deal resembles 'Peace for our time' more than a lasting peace.

A video released shows 8 people but reports vary and are as high as over 50 by some accounts.

Trump first endorsed this by stating that the people killed were bad people . In fact ;Hamas is killing them for being collaborators (typically the action of victors ) .

Now Trump says that Hamas must disarm although there is no firm time table that I am aware of . It appears that Hamas is reasserting themselves as the law in Gaza.

Where are the people chanting genocide ? Where are the American libtard campus protests against this brutality ? The silence is deafing .
