Not isolated. I raised my kids with Christian love and self respect. I've heard horror stories from grown children and hate for parents, adults who spank.
My principal told me to pull down their pants and whack them on the bare butt. I resigned in late November 1967 after seeing all the tears and even hate that then affected their learning.

That fire department report, obtained by the Herald and confirmed by police response, states that a BFD crew was sent to Old Colony Avenue Saturday morning for a call that a man had gone into cardiac arrest and required medical attention. That address is the Mary Ellen McCormack Housing complex run by the city.
However, according to the incident report, firefighters found more than just a routine medical emergency.
“The apartment was in extremely unsanitary conditions. Approximately 6 adults, who appeared to be males, were seen in the apartment,” they wrote, saying they subsequently found “four children in the back bedroom being hidden by an adult male from first responders.”
According to the incident report the children ranged from ages 5 to 10.
Multiple sources tell the Herald some of the adults were dressed as women when first responders arrived at the scene.

State Senator Scott Wiener and State Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo claim that the bill is only meant to provide 'equal access to mental health services' for all children in the state of California, and could only apply to children who are on Medi-Cal, the state-funded Medicaid program
The bill has made it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Under the bill, there would be no obligation for therapist or counselors to prove that a 12 year old is mature enough or in a dangerous enough situation to justify being placed in a “residential shelter.”
There is such a requirement for minors who are on private insurance.
Any decision to inform the parents or withhold such information from them would be left up to the 'mental health professional' involved, even if it is simply an intern or trainee.

Only the chronically naïve can fail to see the truth of this matter. It does a great deal to explain why we have drag queens who want to "perform" for kindergartners.
Christie has the issue all wrong. He is being critical of laws that protect children.

What he willingly fails to address is the fact that more and more parents are being left out of the decision process and that is what the laws are designed to address.
