Gay is good. I love the LGBT+ community!
Whatever brand he has will be destroyed when he loses the Guv race in Texas .Quote:
Nope. I betcha a popular candidate will be Beto O’Rourke.
My guess is that they go with Madame Defarge Michelle Obama . (Madame Defarge in 'Tale of Two Cities ' quietly knitted the names of her enemy list until she was in a position to purge them )
She is following in the path of the emperor ;and Bubba before her . She did a keynote address at the last convention . She has a book coming out in the fall just in time to launch her campaign in January that they will guarantee will rocket to # 1 on the NY Slimes best seller list . 2.75 million initial printing .
Michelle Obama's book 'The Light We Carry' coming this fall | AP News
Her autobiography was a best seller . She is a media star with Netflix and Spotify deals . She is polling very high for 2024
Poll: Harris, Michelle Obama lead for 2024 if Biden doesn’t run – The Hill
She is playing the 'reluctant candidate ' card which everyone loves . It is true that the emperor and Michelle are rich and she does not need to do it . That makes her the perfect 21st century candidate . She would also have the whole Obama post Presidency machine he created behind her .
Organizing for Action (OFA) - InfluenceWatch
She may even figure a way to become VP in January. The Dems will use the 25th amendment claiming Clueless has "long haul" covid and onset dementia ;and can no longer do the job. That will make Kam the Sham as the temporary place holder .
Madam Defarge at the ticket is perfect for the Dem's .Jacobin revolution She is virtually immune from criticism because like the emperor prior to his run ,she has done nothing in the political arena to scrutinize .(the emperor won because the Dems were able to project their aspirations onto him)
She would be yet another dem candidate who has never accomplished anything of note in her entire life.
By their own admission, Dems set up the kangaroo court to evade questions about what Madam Mimi knew about the potential for Jan. 6 violence and when she knew it .Secret Service agents were never called to testify in public to determine if Cassidy Hutchinson's story about Trump were true. Questions about how those in charge of Capitol security responded to FBI and Homeland Security warnings about potential violence have not been raised .
What we have gotten instead is hearsay testimony from Hutchinson c/p video snippets of testimony without allowing Trump's own lawyers or Trump friendly Reps to question witnesses or challenge the narrative. The committee is a bunch of partisan zealots rather than truth seekers. They would have gained more credibility and traction if they had let Repubs offer contrary evidence and engaged in true cross examination.
First they tried to imply that Trump incited the riot as an attempt to overthrow the election . When that did not work they went with plan B this week. The claim is that Trump was derelict in his duty by sitting watching tv instead of making sooner the eventual address he made to the rioters. That may indeed be true . It probably was irresponsible . But there was nothing criminal about it . If dereliction of duty was a criteria for criminal procedures against Presidents then almost all of them are guilty at one point in their term. The current POTUS has a steady stream of derelictions.
The truth though is that before the riot Trump acted responsibly . He offered National Guard troops to bolster the Capitol police security . During the riot the part of his speech totally deleted from the testimony is his call for the crowd to PEACEFULLY march to the Capitol.
The facts are there for anyone to read in the Defense IG report about Jan 6 .
"Mr. Miller and GEN Milley met with the President at the White House at 5:30 p.m.," the IG reported. "The primary topic they discussed was unrelated to the scheduled rally. GEN Milley told us that at the end of the meeting, the President told Mr. Miller that there would be a large number of protestors on January 6, 2021, and Mr. Miller should ensure sufficient National Guard or Soldiers would be there to make sure it was a safe event. Gen Milley told us that Mr. Miller responded, 'We've got a plan and we've got it covered.'" (page 31)
Report No. DODIG-2022-039: Review of the DOD's Role, Responsibilities, and Actions to Prepare for and Respond to the Protest and Its Aftermath at the U.S. Capitol Campus on January 6, 2021 (defense.gov)
The report makes it clear that it was the DEMS that turned down the extra security for fear of making it look like the military was involved in the political process
.Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told the IG "he did not want to create the perception that the military was involved in the electoral process,"The report also shows DC Police Chief Robert Contee opposed having National Guard troops. "Chief Contee explained to us that he did not want other Federal law enforcement involved on January 6, 2021, because of the risk associated with having unidentified Federal officers carrying weapons within D.C,"
This even as intel warnings from the FBI ,DHS ,and the Marshall service came into the Capitol Police of possible violence.
You won't hear that in the committee hearings either .
Dem famed attorney Alan Dershowitz predicts that Bannon's conviction will be overturned in appeal. Speaking to Greta Van Susteren ,he said that the conviction was “entirely in violation of the Constitution” because “The only provision of the Constitution, which appears basically twice, is trial by jury in and in front of a fair jury. Number one, he didn’t have a fair jury. Number two, the judge took his defenses away from him,”
Alan Dershowitz defends Bannon against conviction controversy | Salon.com
He said the jury was prejudical due to it's TDS. The trial was in DC .
“And all you had to do was say, ‘Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this man Bannon worked for Trump.’ That’s the end of the case.”
You are exactly correct. I was thinking Pete Buttigeig(sp?).
he may not be gay .But he's Irish
Filmmaker Joel Gilbert does a video expose of Madame DeFarge .His narrative is the she has created a false biography about herself that the public buys into. She is far from the reluctant candidate who will accept the nomination to save the country . Her life has been rooted in political ambition. That is the thesis of the film.
Her father Fraser Robinson was a precinct captain in the Daley Chi-town Democratic Machine, This enabled him provide a nice middle class life for his family .Good for him ;good for his family . A stable family life with parents who provide for their children is the American way .She was a close friend of Sarita Jackson, daughter of Jesse Jackson. She had private dance lessons at an early age ;she attended private schools . She attended the elite Whitney Young Magnet School. She says she was told Princton was out of her reach. Her school councilor denies that .
So why instead of celebrating that does she pretend to paint a picture of an unfortunate child from the South side of Chi-town who was told the good things in life are beyond her grasp ?
Gilbert makes it clear that she has untold political ambitions . When the Dems run through their obvious list of losers ,they will come to the conclusion that she is the only one in their ranks that can win in 2024.
So the Dems held Bannon in contempt for refusing to testify to the show trial . They found a friendly partisan DC jury to convict him. So now he is going to testify .
You would think the Dems would put that in prime time in their circus kangaroo court .
Think again . They are not even going to televise his appearance. He speaks too many inconvenient truths I guess.
The committee was supposed to wrap it up before hurricane Ian . But they can't give it up. So they came up with a screwball theory that in fact Trump knew he had lost the election ;but was ashamed to admit it .or something like that.
But their big October surprise (because the real purpose of the show trial is to influence the mid-term elections ) is to slap Trump with a subpoena. I'll get into the separation of powers issues in a bit.
One has to ask why they did not do this on day one of the committee .
I suggest it is because they want the October specticle of the compliant press floating one story after another about .
Trump fighting the subpoena
Trump pleading the 5th
How will this impact his battles over the FBI raid of his home ?
How the nation barely avoided a fascist MAGA takeover
How Liz Cheney and the never Trumper Repubs are heroes .
How Trump endorsed candidates are suspect traitors .
We've GOT him now !!!
etc etc .
Plenty of fodder ;bread crumbs for the pigeons. To last through the election .
Did the framers construct a Parliamentary for of government where the President is accountable to Congress like a PM is accountable to the Parliament ? NO they did not. If the judiciary rejects Trump's challenge (if he challenges ) to this unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers then that is what we will have.
Trump has stated (I believe ) tongue in cheek that he would love to testify to the committee. That would be a mistake . They would never release his comments unedited . He would also be doing a disservice to the office he held.
Instead he should follow the example of Harry Truman who refused to testify to the House Committee on Un American Activities (another witch hunt committee) when he was issued a subpoena after he had left office.
staffers for the kangaroo court who spent time researching law enforcement failures on Jan 6 might as well throw their work down the toilet. They have been told that the committee’s final report would focus largely on former President Donald Trump and much less on findings about failures by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in the lead up to the attack
Jan. 6 committee staffers told preliminary plan for final report would focus largely on Trump, not on law enforcement failures, sources say (nbcnews.com)
Like the Warren Commission and the 9-11 report ;this report will be all fluff with little substance .
During it's final act on stage ,the kangaroo court to no one's surprise recommended to the DOJ that criminal charges should be filed against Trump .
I do not believe the Justice Dept will act on any of the referrals. There is already a Special Council and the DOJ is conducting it's own investigation. They will have no use for the partisan hack job presentation by the biased committee.
As Quid says ....there are more important things going on.
Liz Cheney's main argument is that Trump failed to act in a timely manner . One usually builds a criminal case on what someone did ... not what they didn't do. This will be used for charges. Then the so called evidence would be subject to discovery; rebuttal and the use of opposing legal council . Things lacking during the dog and pony show.
The kangaroo court has now made us safe from small bands of unarmed protesters ;selfie taking insurgents, attempting to" overthrow" the nation with the most powerful military force on the planet.
Too funny . classified documents from his VP days were found illegally stored in Clueless Joe's office at his "think tank " at the Penn Biden Center (upenn.edu)
Classified documents from Biden's time as VP discovered in private office, source says | CNN Politics
The documents were discovered just a few days prior to the 2022 midterms, yet the announcement of the discovery of the documents was only made yesterday .
AG Garland said
“Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and of our democracy. Upholding the rule of law means applying the law evenly without fear or favor. Under my watch, that is precisely what the Justice Department is doing.”
Oh wait ;he wasn't talking about finding classified documents illegally kept at Clueless' office . That was his justification for raiding Trump's home.
The question is ;why hasn't the FBI raided all of Clueless's homes and offices ? These docs have been illegally stored there for at least 6 years .
Why hasn't there been a special council appointed ?
Flashback to September
Biden, who rarely does interviews, spoke to CBS’ “60 Minutes” in a segment that aired Sunday. He said that when he heard about classified documents taken from the White House, he wondered how “anyone could be that irresponsible.”
Biden added: “And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?”
Biden: Classified documents at Mar-a-Lago raise concerns (yahoo.com)
Now here comes the big question. Will the person on this site who has seemed so outraged at Trump having classified docs be equally outraged at Biden having some? My guess is a resounding "No!", but we'll see.
Kevin McCarthy shook DC to it's core when he said today he was willing to release and make public all security footage from the Jan 6 riot. If true then the Dem cover up is coming to a close .
I read your link and it says nothing about coverage that would be damaging to the Democrats or anybody else.
Your characterization of the videos as "the Dem cover up is coming to a close" is a perfect example of how your language skews the story to something it isn't.
That's a right-wing practice and never helps your position when it's exposed for what it is - a lie.
Even if it is not damaging to the Dems they should be released . There are 14,000 hours of security footage that were given to the Kangarood court that have not been released with no explanation. Some of that footage could be important in the defense of the Jan 6 defendants . Maybe they won't be given an Alice in Wonderland kangaroo court . They are entitled to see it .Some of the rioters are still in jail based on the video evidence that was presented in court . The Kanagroo court released some of it mostly snippets that may have been taken out of context . A full release would paint the most complete picture of what happened inside. But the Capitol Police, backed by federal prosecutors, have strictly controlled who can see them and how much footage can be shared with the public.
When asked about releasing the footage McCarthy said “I think the public should see what happened on that day. I watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it. For the first time in the history as a speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee,” “We watched the politicization of this. I think the American public should actually see what happened instead of a report that’s written on a political basis.”
There were clear falsehoods in the narrative presented to the American people .Madam Mimi claimed that Repub Reps gave rioters tours of the Capitol on Jan 5 for the purpose of reconnaissance That was a lie . The Dems still try to cover up the fact that it was Madam Mimi and the DC mayor that intentionally understaffed Capitol security on Jan 6 because they were concerned about bad optics .(and that is giving them the benefit of the doubt) even though it was reported that they had intel that there could be trouble at the Capitol.
I already know how this will end up. We still have not seen the JFK information a decade after the 50 years sealing expired
That's really disturbing. It makes me wonder what they're afraid of.Quote:
But the Capitol Police, backed by federal prosecutors, have strictly controlled who can see them and how much footage can be shared with the public.
I'm glad you changed your tune.
They should be released to the extent they don't jeopardize any persons or safety procedures.
All of the above is conjecture and is blatantly biased by your use of "Kangaroo Court". The Jan6 Committee was hardly a Kangaroo Court with so much evidence displayed over the term of the committee.Quote:

Don't worry about it. We've known you are biased for a loonnnnnggggg time. And to be fair, everyone here basically is in one way or another.Quote:
There, now you can call me biased.
Revisiting this post because of new developments
It is now confirmed that Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony is a lie and the Committee knew it was.
She made her claim to the Committee during a nationally held hearing in June 2022 . The driver offered to testify to refute her claim. The Committee delayed and delayed his testimony for months .They finally heard from him the day before the 2022 midterm election day. This clearly affected the outcome of the election. The Kangaroo Court show trial contributed to a red wave being prevented .
Rep. Barry Loudermilk, the chairman of the House subcommittee that is investigating the Jan. 6 made this public yesterday
Trump’s Secret Service driver wanted to quickly refute Cassidy Hutchinson’s J6 tale but was rebuffed | Just The NewsQuote:
The transcript of the driver’s testimony reviewed by Just the News shows his lawyer complained that his client had offered to testify in July, August and September of 2022, but was “rebuffed” by the January 6 committee led by Chairman Rep. Benny Thompson, a Democrat, and Vice Chairwoman Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican, both fierce opponents of Trump.
“We're talking about the driver of the limousine, and the head of the entire protective detail,” Loudermilk said during a wide-ranging interview with the "Just the News, No Noise" television show. “They were brought in by the select committee to testify, but they weren't brought in until November.
“It was in June when they paraded Hutchinson before the world, and they let the world hear the stories. And what's interesting is in the very beginning of the driver’s testimony, his attorney starts off by chastising the select committee,” Loudermilk also said. “And he said we offered to come in July, August, September, and now it's November. So we found out for the first time that the driver had been offering to come in and testify under oath as far back as just a few weeks after Cassidy made these claims, but the select committee would not bring them in.”
Loudermilk’s description is confirmed by the transcript, which also shows the Secret Service driver testified Trump never tried to reach for or grab the wheel of the SUV as Hutchinson, who wasn’t in the vehicle, alleged in her testimony.
The transcript also shows that Cheney tried to explain to the driver’s lawyer why there was such a long delay in accepting his offer to testify, claiming the committee wanted to wait until the Secret Service produced all documents in the January 6 investigation.
Cheney did not explain why the committee allowed Hutchinson to testify in summer 2022, before the documents were turned over, but then delayed the driver's refutation until much later.
Anyone with even a little bit of sense would have never taken Hutchinson's testimony seriously to begin with because it was nothing more than hearsay. The "he said, she said" nature of the whole thing is apparent from the Wiki article excerpt.
OK. It's all clear now. [SARC]Quote:
Hutchinson said Ornato told her Trump became irate and attempted to grab the steering wheel of the vehicle, and lunged at Engel's clavicle.[30] She testified Engel was present with Ornato as he related the incident but never contradicted the account.[35] CNN reported three days after Hutchinson's testimony that it had spoken with two Secret Service agents who had heard accounts of the incident from multiple other agents since February 2021, including Trump's driver. Although details differed, agents confirmed there was an angry confrontation, with one agent relating that Trump "tried to lunge over the seat – for what reason, nobody had any idea," but no one asserted Trump attacked Engel. A separate Secret Service official told CNN that Engel denied that Trump grabbed at the steering wheel or lunged toward an agent on his detail, and that Ornato denied telling Hutchinson such
