Comey has been a face of resistance of Trump since 2016 . His agency tried to prevent Trump winning election. Then they spied ;investigated and tried to impeach and imprison him.

The threats escalated during the 2024 campaign . Not only did Trump have to overcome multiple attempts to jail him; but twice assassins tried to kill him. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino said 'nothing to see here' regarding Trump assassination attempts. They said there is no evidence of foreign links to either attempts even though there was clear evidence of foreign hit teams in the US.
