    Ex,

You are right ON! Oh man I could do some good preachin here... but I will refrain. You don't ever listen to me anyway!

I am not for the death penalty... that doesn't mean I don't believe there are people who deserve to die... I just couldn't make that call. ( of course I haven't had someone I loved brutally murdered either)

Would it be cruel and unusual punishment for the person sentenced to death to get to pick the way the wanted to die? I guess I'd pick lethal injection. Only I wouldn't want to know when the needle was coming... just sometime when I least expected. I think the anticipation would be far worse than whatever form of death one chose. Just my thoughts. Someone on AMHD told me just today I had "ill formed rationality". So... maybe I'm not nearly as brilliant as I think... :)

    Spit,

I would stop to watch a fight... not because I thought it was entertaining.. but I would be shocked. I would hope I would call the police. I don't know but I really hate violence. Even when people are just yelling and cursing at one another, I get upset! But I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I suppose like everything else, you get a little hardened to what you see all the time.

    Classy,
You do sort of become numb to it. But there comes appoint where enough is enough. The grade schools are violent in Philly the high schools are even crazier (of course not all of them). When I was in high school there was a fight after every period. And it wasn't just one on one it was street vs street you know. I tried to stay out of it but you really can't avoid it all that well. I am actually looking forward to moving to the suburbs. I love the city but every night there are guns shots then sirens. It gets to be too much. I don't even watch Horror movies because real life for me was much scarier then that.

It is funny though when we went to look at the house we are buying we were in the back yard and I heard guns shots lots of them. I looked at the real estate agent and said aren't we in the suburbs and he laughed and said there is a gun range a few miles away. I can deal with that.

In my neighborhood that would be the deer and turkey hunters.

I know there is a state park near where I am moving (I think Tyler state park) and they have deer hunts there. So that is pretty cool.

I think the good old electric chair is good. Lethal injection is too pleasant, murderers should die in a painful manner.
