There, she received a briefing from officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It would be like Eisenhower never setting foot in Europe during WW2.

I completely agree with you, but it seems to be hard to retrain Mr. Trump. All he has to do is let Harris talk. That will be sufficient.

tRump doesn't know how to "refrain"! He bullies women, even MAGA women. He will outdo his usual bully-boy ramblings during a debate with Harris, an Indian/Jamaican (Black!!!), and will not be able to stay on topic, will quickly dissolve into burbles and snorts.

More diversion from the issue . Adam Schiffhead asked Wray if someone with 34 felony convictions would be hired by the FBI What was really strange was Wray raising the possibility that Trump wasn't really hit by a bullet but instead took indirect shrapnel to the ear.

Wray bizarrely speculated :

Yesterday the FBI was forced to walk back Wray's ridiculous comment suggesting that Trump had been struck by a piece of glass instead of a bullet.

I will say what is not said because I have heard this speculated ...... they believe Trump staged this .

Trump went nuts on social media over this claim because now that the FBI Director said it ;the compliant press ran with it. This even after the hospital said it was a gun shot wound. This even after Representative Ron Jackson ;who is also Trump's physician examined Trump and said it was a bullet wound ,

"There is absolutely no evidence that it was anything other than a bullet," "Congress should correct the record as confirmed by both the hospital and myself. Director Wray is wrong and inappropriate to suggest anything else."

What difference would it make? He was hit by a bullet or he was hit by shrapnel/glass frags from a bullet that was fired at him. Either way, he was the victim of an intended assassination. So should he say, "Yes, I thought someone was trying to kill me, but turns out that the bullet intended for me missed by inches, hit something glass, and the glass fragments hit my ear, so now I feel better and realize the whole thing was just a big misunderstanding."

Of course he is politicizing it. That's what politicians do. He was fired on, so he is going to use that to his advantage. Biden would do the same as would Harris. The primary story is still the failure of the USSS to adequately protect him, a failure so stunning and unprofessional as to have at least the appearance of being intentional.

yes indeed But they cannot get away with their narrative. A good percentage of the country still believes Trump is a Manchurian candidate. Trump can't allow an alt-narrative that this attempt was in any way a staged event to persist .

OK it is safe to question what role the FBI played in this drama ?

A whistle blower revealed info to 'Just the News' that if true is chilling . Again if true then the only explanation is incompetence or collaboration.
