That article does confirm a low blood ox reading. Wonder why WG was unable to find that link? This was especially telling.

    Quote:

...now dipped down to about 86 percent and could be trending lower, a dangerously low level for someone his age," Meadows wrote in his book "The Chief's Chief" which was published Tuesday.

The New York Times was the first to report on the new details from Meadows' book. They also reported in February that Trump was sicker with Covid-19 than originally reported with "extremely depressed blood oxygen levels at one point."
Interesting that Meadows characterized Trump's ox levels as "dangerously low", while the ever shrill Times called it "extremely depressed". But one way or the other, there is no indication there that Trump came anywhere near death.

Did you also put on a "librarian hat" to find that material?

I never disputed low oxygen level . I have seen nothing to suggest that he was near death or hooked up to oxygen in the WH . His doctor said in a news conference that it was 94% and that Trump received oxygen in Walter Reed .

White House chief of staff says Trump's
blood oxygen level "dropped rapidly" Friday morning

    From CNN’s Jason Hoffman
In an interview with Fox News, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows offered an upbeat assessment of Donald Trump's current status but revealed the President's oxygen level had “dropped rapidly” Friday morning.

    ***************
On Sunday, Conley admitted having misled reporters in a press briefing the previous day when he insisted that the president had not been given supplemental oxygen. He revealed that Trump was put on oxygen on Friday morning after worrying signs emerged, and that Conley had not reported the development because he did not want to spoil the “upbeat attitude” of the president and his medical team.

“Late Friday morning when I returned to the bedside, President had a high fever and his oxygen saturation was transiently dipping below 94%."

Asked why he earlier denied the president had been put on oxygen, Conley responded: “I was trying to reflect the upbeat attitude that the team, the president, the course of illness, has had.”

    Trump Has Been Given Oxygen

October 3, 2020 at 1:43 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 231 Comments

President Trump “was administered oxygen at the White House on Friday before he was transported to the military hospital,” the AP reports.
His doctor refused to answer questions on the topic from reporters earlier.

Two people close to the White House told the New York Times “that the president had trouble breathing on Friday and that his oxygen level dropped, prompting his doctors to give him supplemental oxygen while at the White House and decide to transfer him to Walter Reed where he could be monitored with better equipment and treated more rapidly in case of trouble.”

His blood ox levels are not in dispute. The issue is whether or not he was near death as you alleged. You have provided no evidence of that. In fact, your post included this. "White House chief of staff Mark Meadows offered an upbeat assessment of Donald Trump's current status."

Two people close to the White House
Nope. Anonymous sources who were not even close to the situation (close to, but not in, the White House) are not worth considering.

The rest of the sentence says, "...but revealed the President's oxygen level had “dropped rapidly” Friday morning. Btw, an oxy sat reading under 95% is getting scary.

Only if he was there and is willing to make a statement on record.

And again, his blood ox is not in issue. It's your wild statement that he was about to die that is in dispute. You have offered NO evidence of that, so I'm done with it.

He was there but is reluctant to say anything to such a contentious twosome.

Tomder put the oxy sat figure at issue. As for your misquoting me, I had actually said, "Reports say he was very, very sick. And yes, he could have died." (Post #8)

You keep forgetting that all of your posts are still up.

Post 5. "And who got covid and nearly died?"

Well, at least you are trying to dial it back now. That's your best available move, for sure.

Yes, had they agreed to his wishes, he would have died.

    1. You have no evidence for that.
    2. That's not AT ALL what you said. You said, "and nearly died". Now you want to make it conditional, but like I said, you are dialing back your original statement, so good for you.

He would have died had the doctor not armwrestled him into going to Walter Reed.

And again, you have no evidence at all for that. Not a shred. It's just your Trump hatred at work.

You apparently have no knowledge of what covid can do and how quickly. I don't hate him; I pity him.

Yeah. At any rate, at least you have backed away from your initial statement that Trump "nearly died". You clearly have no evidence for it.

He refused further care, had to be talked into it. Without that forceful talk by his doctors, yes, being obese and having progressive breathing problems, he would have died.

Says Dr. Wondergirl. Sorry, but no takers on that one. You really need to learn the difference between sheer speculation (post 55) and genuine truth. But if it makes you feel better to believe that, then so be it.
