Shouldn't they be going home so they can vote?
"Homeless people who are resisting placement" it said. Still, if the occupiers had any sense of decency they would stop interfering with people's lives.
I guess this is a bit like questioning the motives of an alcoholic. Why is this person creating so much pain and anxiety within his own family? Doesn't he care about others?
The answer is that he can hardly care for others when he is incapable of caring for himself.

Tut, finally we agree. But, I submit that is the greatest problem with liberal ideology in this country. The whole Julia thing, that you need government to function which only creates a society of dependents that can't take care of themselves that impose on those who do. It only breeds more dysfunction.
Well Steve, I don't believe that's true. I 'm sure we have agreed on at least one or two other occasions.
However, I think you are on the right track about ideology being a problem. I think it is worth keeping in mind that ideology is a problem plaguing both sides of politics.
I've always had an inherent dislike for ideology, regardless of where it is coming from. It has been responsible for some large scale calamities in human history.
The problem with ideology is that we are never required to test it against what is actually happening in the world. In other words, we are not required to compare the ideology with the actual problems our blueprint for society is creating.
We get around this contradiction by claiming that only test required to determine if an ideology is working is whether the actual outcomes match the ideology. Not whether the experience tells us something different.
If the experience tells us something different then we simply reassure ourselves by saying that we haven't followed the blueprint correctly and once implemented correctly, or in full everything will fall into place. The other possibility is simply to say that it is the price we have to pay.
Perhaps the justification for creating anxiety during general elections is simply the price of a democratic blueprint.

Sorry double post
If it wasn't for the behavior ,they'd mingle amongst the Halloween crowd and not be noticed or look out of place .Maybe they'd get some FREE candy . But it's that behavior thingy again, That is the main reason the occupy movement had at best a marginal impact. They harrass the people they should be trying to positively influence.
Tut, I have a hard time believing anyone is free from ideology, especially those liberals who claim to be.
