Hello again:
I don't know what you're all worried about... They'll pay the debt with inflated dollars and everybody (who bought gold) will be happy.

Ah, it's probably from an image source blocked by our firewall.
That might explain it as the image is self-explanatory.
It is showing up on my screen . It is a star wars death star with an Obama logo on it... but on the pix it's called Debt Star ...This is not the hope you are looking for
They should do one with Bush's pic too!
Still living in the past?
Hello again,
This thing is going into the toilet... Mark my words, the Great Bush Depression is underway.
The INTERESTING thing about it, as you guys point out, is who is going to be blamed for it.
If, however, the fault LIES in the past, it's no wonder you righty's don't want to go there.

We know who'll get the blame, he already is - Bush. Some of it's deserved, I think we've acknowledged that more than once, should we continue to revisit that until we beg for mercy? Heck, Bush is even blamed - by Obama - for his own compounding of the problem. So let's visit the present and hold the current president accountable for what he's screwing up right now instead of blaming it ALL, past, present and future, on Bush.
Hello again, Steve:
Here's the deal... I'm ALL for accountability. But, I don't know that Obama is screwing up ANYTHING. Six weeks is just to early to tell. Oh, I know you don't like what he's doing, but that's based upon ideology - not economics. You don't KNOW if it'll work or not...
When the dufus wanted to invade Afghanistan, I didn't know whether it would work or not either. So, I kept my mouth shut, and let him fail on his own, which he did.
You should give that a try.

Hello again:
Psssst. The market's UP the past couple days. That means Obama's doing good, huh?
You guys are silly. You can't measure his progress like that...
You want a number to track that'll show whether he's doing the work the people sent him there to do?? Do you? Really?? Nahhh, I don't think you do.
The unemployment number is all you need to pay attention to, if you care. But, I think you care more about politics than you do about the saving of America.

Hello again, Steve:
Oh, you're preachin to the choir... I can't do it either...
But Obama isn't you or me, and the government isn't like our checkbook. I don't know how it's going to work either. I don't get it. Really. I don't.
But, it DOES make sense to me that when nobody is spending, the government HAS to be the spender of last resort, or the deflation continues into oblivion. After all, deflation is the REAL enemy. So, they're dropping their concern over inflation in order to stop deflation, and they'll worry about inflation later...
In my mind, the question becomes, is a deflation NOW going to be better than an inflation LATER. Letting the banks, and the car industry fail, as some want, can't possibly stop the deflation. That'll make it get worse.
Look, it's like wack a mole. Wack the deflation mole or wack the inflation one. Pick your poison. Where/when do you want your pain, and how can you LIMIT it?
