Ah, so! You have no problem with a poster calling an opponent senile, but now you attack me as being malicious!
Suppose you here and now quote such malicious posts so we can all know what you are talking about.
But then, that would de-rail the tread effectively, wouldn't it?

You can get back to your assassination hope thread. Sorry to derail you from that.

    Hello again, Gal:

    Bizarro land!

Nobody disagrees that the world is a dangerous place. And, that has to do with Obama, exactly how??

You think he's a communist. You think there are communists around him. You think they'll plot to kill him. I guess you think we got taken over by the Soviet Union.

    Bizarro land.

There is such a thing as "point blank body armor" where the body armor is so thin that it has to be almost literally molded to your torso to fit properly. It is extremely thin versus the bulky body armor you see over policemen's uniforms or SWAT team members.

It could very well happen that if someone wanted to stage a "fake" assassination all the person would have to do is wear some of this ultra thin body armor and have some strategically placed fake blood packs taped to the armor.

I guess no one has ever seen the movie "Dave"? The real president had a heart attack or stroke or whatever and was rushed off the Senate floor and transported to a hospital. Then Dave came in and impersonated the president. That's almost a "reverse" assassination in a way.

I did see that movie "The Death of a President". Quite boring. It was a cross between the Kennedy assassination (the use of a high powered rifle) and the attempted assassination of Reagan getting into his limo. What I thought was interesting was the fact it took place in Chicago of all places.

There are all sorts of "movie magic" out there available. Do you really think that Saddam Hussein was hanged? It's amazing that an old dissheveled man with horribly crooked yellowed teeth was supposedly hanged instead of the real Saddam who had perfectly straight white teeth? Even the fake Saddam didn't actually get hung.

And another thing. Almost all the current world leaders have doubles. Saddam had several doubles. Hitler had several doubles. I could name other world leaders who have doubles, but I don't need to. Why would you think they don't have doubles?

I felt the need to add the disclaimer because some would imply that I was calling for a political murder.
It looks like some did so in spite of that disclaimer.

I just think you and twinkle have been watching too many movies.

And I guess you fell for the Moon Walk years ago that was supposedly televised from the moon? Men have gone to the moon and back, but not way back then they didn't. That was a pure Hollywood production.

Do you believe in anything? Your cynicism must make you very unhappy.

So I gather some of you DON'T think the radical left would kill one of their own if they thought it would further their agenda?

I never said it would happen, but some of your responses are revealing!

Newspaper's cartoon links Obama to dead chimp | smh.com.au

Perhaps this radical way of thinking is more widespread than first thought. The Washington Post cartoonist has similar thoughts in his head.

Of course the cartoon monkey could also be San Fran Nan Madame MIMI Pelosi . I do believe it was her or her stooges who ultimately authored the pig with lipstick/ bucket list legislation

This gives Al Sharpton something to talk about, but since Obama didn't write the bill - he turned that over to congress - who's the monkey? Maybe the guy's a racist, maybe not. The cartoon was in poor taste and not funny, but enough of this outrage over every perceived slight. I find it more obviously offensive that our new AG calls us "cowards."

I agree that that cartoon was in very poor taste,

But so have cartoons on Bush been.

The first amendment does not belong to either side of the political spectrum but for all.

    ----------------------------------------------------

As a first generation non-black ethnic minority, I can attest to racial prejudices and frank racism, but I am tired of this need to always talk or have frank conversations about it.

    Talk is useless without action.
The only proven action, in my personal experience, to combat racism and prejudice is not to respond tit for tat or always whine about being the victim all the time, but to
Go on, put aside the slight, and continue setting the best example you can. That may be through your work, humor, kindness, patience. The only thing one can control is how you respond, not what the other persn thinks, views or does.

Speaking of American history why don't we have a female history month, an American Indian history month?

Yes it is good to acknowledge errors, crimes, wrong ways in the past; but to constantly dwell in the past?

No outrage from me Steve. Just posting a cartoon relevant to the topic. I have a sense of humour, after all I am aussie. As you say it wasn't funny and was in poor taste but I'm certainly not outraged. Of course Al would be though. You'd be disappointed if he wasn't wouldn't you?
