Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Mc Cain were
Flying to a debate.

Barack looked at Hillary, Chuckled and said, 'You know I could throw a
$1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.'

Hillary shrugged her shoulders and replied, 'I could throw ten $100 bills
Out of the window and make ten people very happy.'

John added, 'That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of
The window and make a hundred people very happy.'

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his copilot,
'Such big-shots back there. I could throw all three of them out of the
Window and make 156 million people very happy.'

BABRAM, the Super Moderator has voiced his concern over the tone of things in this forum. He is right. We can agree to disagree about the election, in an amicable way, and that should be the goal. Sometimes passions run high in the course of discussions and things are said that shouldn't be. This upcoming election has prompted many words to be used, on both sides, that should not have been. I know we can all be civil about this simply because this election is not about us. It is all about the candidates. I do not have a candidate selected as yet with so many changing things happening day-to-day that have a bearing on this election so have presented mho on things about each one so as to give people the opportunity to comment and thus feel the pulse of the voting public from all sides. I do want, however, for the BEST candidate that can truly lead our country forward to get the nod in November. As yet, I have made no decision on who that could be. Experience counts simply because we are dealing with a volatile situation in this country with high prices, jobs disappearing from the scene, healthcare, etc. as well as challenges with other world leaders. That makes many people plenty nervous, thus tempers flair, but I know we have to work to get the absolute best person for the job in the White House, this time around, that will truly work for we, the people, and lead our country forward at this most challenging time.

So, we need to agree to end the personal attacks and concentrate on the elective candidates. I know that there not being a candidate on the Democratic side selected at this late date can be very trying for many, but again, it is all about the candidates and not about us. You mention yourself and "excon". Therefore, I would like to extend the opportunity to hear from the two of you as well as "Magprob" with your thoughts on this matter. I know the moderator would be happy to know that we can continue to agree to disagree but in a respectful way that reflects and demonstrates that we have control over what can be and is a very emotional matter. Thank you for your attention and I look forward to hearing from you and others on this.

I don't know that the moderator is right since having several of my points removed when I see the standard not applied to others. HOWEVER, I know that being a moderator is a matter of objective opinion and that for the most part they do a really good job on this site. Other than that they know how to reach if need be. As long as the site management permits me the privilege to voice my concerns, I will. I mean what I say, sincerely. That's why I give my name, where I live, and post my family pictures. I don't cyber-hide anonymously from nobody and if there's ever any consequence, I'm more than willing to face it.

Now having said all this, I do have better things to do. Memorial Day weekend is a very busy time in Vegas. I woke up round 4:30 this morning and made it into work by six. However, I can see that there was some clientele drop off due to travelling expenses with gas prices at record numbers. The highlight of my day was meeting with Drew Barrymore and her friend Justin Long, both are extremely nice people.

O.k. But I trust we can ALL work on civility to improve the general tone in this forum. This is a no-cost item that users can certainly work towards achieving. Certainly points can be made about a candidate and should be but without the anger, curtness, and other things that detract from the over-all purpose of why this forum is here. We still have not heard from the other parties but I trust they feel the same way and will work towards that goal.

Babram, an informal invitation was made to excon and magprob to comment on what I had proposed to tone down the rhetoric, that's all. That was not a demand for them to comment. They are free to do so or not as they feel led. But I think all good men of reason would agree that being cordial instead of spiteful in any forum is what is called for and that which the moderators can truly appreciate. As to my " .... actions in future posts .... ", I believe they know the direction of how things would go with what I am saying here. This is a time of healing to revamp the curtness, impoliteness, etc. that posting parties can often fall victim to. The moderator has called for that also. Again, I kindly ask all to join in this effort for the good of all concerned. Thank you.
