So what is he doing about it ? He ordered Eric Holder to investigate himself :
"I have raised these issues with the attorney general, who shares my concern. So he has agreed to review existing Department of Justice guidelines governing investigations that involve reporters, and will convene a group of media organizations to hear their concerns as part of that review. And I have directed the attorney general to report back to me by July 12."
If it weren't for the fact that so many Americans are low information voters I'd offer a "you just can't make this stuff up," because the idea of having your AG investigate himself is too ludicrous to believe. On the other hand for once the media might not give him cover on this one.
Politico's Dylan Byers reports that Sharyl Attkisson not only has a problem with the government snoops who have tampered with her computer... she also has a cultural problem at CBS with colleagues who think there's something wrong with a journalist who is willing to report about the Emperor's shortcomings and scandals. What I don't get here is there was a phone hacking scandal in the UK involving journalists, what makes anyone think a government agency is not way ahead on this activity. Now, I know someone is going to shout law and constitution to me, but you tell me all the time this administration doesn't respect these things and yet it is surprise when it happens I would be surprised if it didn't and I certainly don't think this activity would be confined to one administration.
