Read my reply #36 . The civil war was indeed the result of a breakdown of compromise... and it is directly related to a SCOTUS decision.
Those LED traffic lights that won't melt snow? Turns out they also get a little rude at times.
Traffic Light gives pedestrians the middle finger
Too funny. I haven't seen them yet but we apparently have had a few of these rude traffic lights in our neck of the woods.
Just another hack, funny one too.
It's no hack, dude, I'm not an idiot. It is an equipment malfunction, the led's burn out "from the outside fingers in"
I'm still going with it being a hack and they are covering up that fact.
Here's another:
‪Don't Walk Sign Hack in Denver (colfax ave)‬‏ - YouTube
Geez, dude, I take it my home newspaper is also an unapproved source. Our city officials acknowledged the problem is due to age, not hacking. We are not redneck rubes down here, heck we build nuclear weapons just down the street. If I say it isn't a hack it isn't a hack.
Hello again, Steve:
I don't know. Being a fellow who LOVES the bird, I hacked the light on my street corner last night... I didn't use software.. I used soft chewing gum. It fits nicely into the holes and blocks those lights pretty damn good.
I have other skills I learned in jail too.

I may not be the smartest guy, but I would think you could pull the gum out instead of replacing the fixture. No need to replace something when you can just return it to its normal state.
The Chevy Volt is "virtually" taking America by storm. GM sold 125 Volts in July. According to a GM spokeswoman the slow sales are attributed to a short supply.
I suppose the Volt is a "virtual" success.Quote:
GM Confirms Slow Chevy Volt Sales
Submitted by Mark Modica on Tue, 08/02/2011 - 14:02
Sales of the much-hyped Chevy Volt fell to new lows as did GM share price as July auto sales figures came in. Only 125 Volts were sold during the month of July. Recent reports attributed the slump to supply constraints as GM spokeswoman, Michelle Bunker, was quoted as saying that the Volt was "virtually sold out" and only a "few" were available nationwide. I have confirmed that this statement is not entirely truthful and have gotten clarification from GM through Director of Communications, Greg Martin.
A search of cars.com site showed nearly 500 Chevy Volts listed for sale. I had originally assumed that GM dealers were advertising vehicles that were not actually available for sale, since GM has stated that there were only a "few" Volts available. I decided to call a few dealers within 75 miles of my location to determine what the true situation was. I stopped my research after finding that five of the first six dealers I called had Volts in inventory available for immediate sale. Two of the five dealers even had two each in stock. I can now safely assume that GM is, once again, not being entirely honest with its facts. The demand for the Chevy Volt is not as strong as GM would have us believe.
The latest green success of the day, Solyndra, a solar panel manufacturer that Obama said in May of last year was "a testament to American ingenuity and dynamism" and received over a half-billion in Porkulus funds, shut its doors and declared bankruptcy.
My money well spent.
Unfortunately that happens every year no matter who is in power at the moment.
Business that rely on a government whim will always come off second best. Interesting to note that even stimulus can't keep these new industries alive or was it a scam
Instead of investing in Solyndra,
The President should've brought this technology to America.

Amazing Water Bottle Sky “Light” | Elliott's Thoughts
Yes great idea I wonder how it will work in moonlight. I have a skylight in my house this is nothing new but very inventive, smart those asians
Of course around here if the EPA didn't object there'd be some local building code it violates.
Undoubtedly you are not allowed to hang a bottle of water over your head, you might get wet, or tamper with your roof
