so during the debate Vance claimed that all these illegals are driving up the cost of housing ;especially rents . Of course he got challenged by Walz and the moderators (who were not 'fact checking') .

Vance replied that he had the proof and that he would post it on social media today. Didn't take him long . He produced it before 1 AM today.

He supports his claim with comments from Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman from a May 3 meeting .

    Quote:

Finally, there is a risk that strong consumer demand for services, increased immigration, and continued labor market tightness could lead to persistently high core services inflation. Given the current low inventory of affordable housing, the inflow of new immigrants to some geographic areas could result in upward pressure on rents, as additional housing supply may take time to materialize.
He followed up with 2 additional studies
    Quote:

"Immigration inflows into a particular Metropolitan statistical area (MSA) is associated with increases in rents and with house prices in that MSA while also seeming to drive up rents and prices in neighboring MSAs."

"The research literature has generally found that increases in immigration raise state and local governments’ spending—particularly on education, health care, and housing—more than their revenues.”

EVERY REPUB should go to school on how Vance handles interviews with the compliant press. He was on ABCs 'This Week ' and clashed with Martha Raddatz over Aurora. She was nit picking over Trump's claims about Tren de Aragua taking over apartment complexes (very true) .

Here is how it went down
    Quote:

But I want to -- we played some other comments about migrants and migrants including in Aurora, in Colorado, where Trump said the city had been invaded and conquered by Venezuelan gangs. The Republican mayor of the city said flatly, the city and state have not been taken over or invaded or occupied by migrant gangs.
So, do you support Donald Trump making those claims that the Republican mayor says were grossly exaggerated and have hurt the city's identity and sense of safety?
I understand what you're saying that some people left behind. But he's making these statements that the mayor is flat out disputing.
VANCE: Well, Martha, you just said the mayor said they were exaggerated.
    RADDATZ: Grossly exaggerated.
VANCE: That means there's got to be some -- that means there's got to be some element of truth here.
And, of course, President Trump was actually in Aurora, Colorado, talking to people on the ground and what we're hearing, of course, Martha, is that people are terrified by what has happened with some of these Venezuelan gangs.

    CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: Senator Vance, I’m going to stop you because I know exactly what happened. I’m going to stop you. The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complex -- apartment complexes and the mayor said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems.
VANCE: Only -- Martha, do you hear yourself? Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem, and not Kamala Harris's open border?
Americans are so fed up with what's going on and they have every right to be and I really find this exchange, Martha, sort of interesting because you seem to be more focused with nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over by violent gangs.
I worry so much more about that problem than anything else here. We've got to get American communities in a safe space again.
And unfortunately, when you let people in by the millions, most of whom are unvetted, most of whom you don't know who they really are, you're going to have problems like this. Kamala Harris’ 94 executive orders that undid Donald Trump's successful border policies, we knew this stuff would happen.

    RADDATZ: That’s --
VANCE: They bragged about opening the border and now we have the consequences and we're living with it.
We can do so much better, but frankly, we're not going to do better, Martha, unless Donald Trump calls this stuff out. I’m glad that he did.
RADDATZ: Okay. Let's -- let's just -- let's just end that with they did not invade or take over the city as Donald Trump said.
I want to move on to just --
VANCE: A few apartment complexes, no big deal.
RADDATZ: A few apartment complexes that the mayor did not see (ph) was invading the entire city.

What an ignorant statement. We should all be outraged by this. It was a legit question by Radditz, but it was a brilliant reply by Vance. I like him more and more as the weeks go by.

It is the same logic the left uses for any argument about illegal immigration .

It is only a little bit of gang activity . It is only a little bit of violent crime . Immigrants eating pets is the exception. Just an itsy bitsy bit of illegal voting Nothing widespread about it .

The only arguments they make that are more infuriating is that they do it "for the children" when everyone knows they don't want children and would rather see them dead before they are born.

That and the condescending way they treat people ;even their own constituency . like the emperor telling them they are evil or stupid if they vote anyway except how he tells them to vote.

Kam the Sham failed to explain why she once opposed a border wall but now supports it.

Anderson Cooper "Let's talk about this compromise bill that you want to pass if you are elected. You said that's going to be a priority. It includes $650 million in funding for the border wall. That's something Republicans wanted that was part of the compromise. Under Donald Trump, you criticized the wall more than 50 times. You called it ‘stupid, useless, and a medieval vanity project.’ Is a border wall stupid?,"

    Kam the Sham's non-answer

"So remember, Donald Trump said Mexico would pay for it. Come on, they didn't. How much of that wall did he build? I think the last number I saw was about 2%. And then when it came time for him to do a photo op, you know, where he did it? In the part of the wall that President Obama built."

    Anderson Cooper follow-up.
"But you agreed to a bill that would earmark $650 million to continue building that,"
    Kam deflects
"I pledge that I am going to bring forward that bipartisan bill to further strengthen and secure our border. Yes, I am, and I'm going to work across the aisle to pass a comprehensive bill that deals with a broken immigration system," "We need a president who is grounded in common sense and practical outcomes, like, let's just fix this thing. Let's just fix it. Why is there any ideological perspective on this? Let's just fix the problem,"
Cooper "So you don't think it's stupid anymore?"
    Kam deflects again

"I think what he did and how he did it was, did not make much sense because he actually didn't do much of anything. I just talked about that wall, right? We just talked about it. He didn't actually do much of anything,"

Cooper asked her about the administrations pivot in policy from open borders to issuing an EO attempting to curb border crossings .

    Kam
You're exactly right, Anderson. And as of today, we have cut the flow of immigration by over half. In fact, the numbers I saw most recently, illegal immigration,"

    Cooper pressed

"If it was that easy without executive action, why not do it in 2022, 2023?"

    Kam

"Because we were working with Congress and hoping that actually we could have a long term fix to the problem instead of a short-term fix,"

    Cooper called out her BS

"You couldn't have done one and both at the same time?"

He asked if she wished they had done the EOs earlier .

Kam "I think we did the right thing."

This is gaslighting 101 . She and the Dems did all they could to prevent Trump from building the wall .Then she critiques him for not getting it built. Then she hijacks his border policies and makes them her own..... at least through the election .

Meanwhile speaking to a different audience so she gave different responses.

VAQUEIRO: I hear you, but I think my question is, right now, we’re talking about border security, and there’s nobody, no Democrat, talking about pathway to citizenship and immigration relief, and...
HARRIS: I am. I am talking about it.
VAQUEIRO: ...the benefits that migrants bring to this country.
HARRIS: Oh, but... there’s no question that... migrants bring... America is a country that is... was built, in part, by immigrants who have come...
VAQUEIRO: But people are concerned about their TPS, their... DACA, their... We’re talking about mass deportations.
HARRIS: I’m not talking about... anything other...
VAQUEIRO: Where do you stand on mass deportations? What’s your stand there?
HARRIS: We need smart, humane immigration policy in America that includes a pathway to citizenship, putting more resources at the border in terms of security, honoring America’s history as a country of immigrants, not vilifying people who are fleeing harm, but instead, creating an orderly system for them to actually be able to make their case. That’s where I stand. I stand on the principle that we should not be talking about immigrants as “poisoning the blood of America.”

And just like that the prospects for the illegals went south .

NYC has ended a freebee food voucher program .
Texas Federal Judge J Campell Barker kneecapped an administration plan to give amnesty(parol in place or something like that ) to a million illegals.

He concluded that DHS does not have the statutory authority to enforce Clueless Joe's dictates .

I do expect a sort of "bum's rush" over these next few weeks of illegals trying to cross the border and get in while they still can.

In Trump's deportation mechanism, what will he do if the home country declines to take them?

Clearly you can't listen to Trump .He makes it sound like 10 million people will be rounded up over night and sent packing.

But Tom Homan has done interviews and he describes a process that includes getting the cooperation of the nations where the illegals came from. Make then an offer they can't refuse.

He describes a targeted process .

    Quote:

at first prioritizing known or suspected national security threats, migrants with criminal histories who are already detained by local law enforcement, and "fugitives" who were already ordered removed by a federal judge.

'Shock and awe': What Trump 'border czar' Tom Homan has said he plans to do starting on Day 1 - ABC News

Homan has previously vowed whatever they ultimately do will be "humane."
"We can do this right ... because we can't lose the faith of the American people," he said.

Accomplishing this alone would be a major achievement .

Disincentive by removing perks for being here would lead to many self- deportations I believe . i would also continue the process of bussing the illegals to self proclaimed sanctuary areas . The citizens of those areas need to feel the effects of their elected leader's decisions.

DHS accused Boston mayor Michelle Wu's sanctuary city of releasing violent criminal rapist illegal aliens with minimal bail.

    (1) Homeland Security on X: "Does Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu think these violent criminal illegal aliens are above the law? She and her fellow Sanctuary City mayors want a lawless nation. President Trump and Secretary Noem are restoring the rule of law and putting the safety of Americans first. https://t.co/gtIR2i7VMq" / X

She denied it under oath. She told local Boston press that the charge is not true.

So CBS Boston did a random act of journalism.
Tom Homan said he specifically counted "9 child rapists that were in jail in Massachusetts," that were released into the community before they were arrested by ICE. WBZ decided to take a deeper look at the bail for some of those cases.

    Was his accusation true ?

    Quote:

Take Jose Fernando-Perez, who was arrested by ICE in Framingham in February. According to an ICE press release, the Essex County Superior Court in Salem arraigned him on three counts of rape of a child by force and three counts of aggravated rape of a child in August, 2022. WBZ called the court and found that he posted a $7500 bail and was released with an order to stay in his home in October, 2022. Stivenson Omar Perez-Ajtzalan was arraigned in Lawrence District Court arraigned Perez Dec. 20, 2024, on felony charges of aggravated rape of a child with a ten-year age difference, according to an ICE press release. WBZ learned that he posted his $7500 bail and was released with a GPS monitoring device. He was arrested by ICE in January.
Juan Alberto Rodezno-Marin was arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court in March, 2023 for indecent assault and battery in a person over 15, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, masked armed robbery, and assault to rape. He was released on personal recognizance with a GPS monitoring device in December 2024 and arrested by ICE in January.
In the last six months, the Worcester County Jail had two inmates who were charged with child rape with bail set at $500. They were picked up by ICE.

Two other inmates were charged with cocaine and fentanyl trafficking with bails of $500 and $4,000. Both of them were wanted by ICE and bailed out before ICE arrived.

An illegal migrant cut loose by the Biden administration has been accused of raping a 13-year-old Florida boy who was playing hide-and-seek with his younger brother behind his home, authorities said.
Samuel Cobos-Carmona, a 20-year-old Mexican national, allegedly confessed to sexually assaulting the victim after he “befriended” him and his 8-year-old brother while they were playing the game on April 13, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
“While in the woods with these two, he sexually battered a 13-year-old child, both orally and anally,” Sheriff Bill Prummell said Thursday.
