That guy who's too often been majorly dissed?
Once he leaves us, he'll never be missed!
And boy oh boy that will make him so pissed!
He wanted to be gratefully loved, hugged, and kissed --
So angry he'll be, he'll punch walls with his fist
But will never again make the candidate list.

    Huh??

A guy once set records with the economy
and kept Putin within his borders with glee
His southern wall if finished would be met with "Whoopee!"
He kept China at bay with his great import fees
He could speak 400 words with no hint of mistake
And word salads were not to be found on his plate
Biden's great work which he did with such grace
Was to make us recall the greatness of Trump's days.

Use of "pissed" is kind of crude.

It rhymed and I've seen it used here on this board so I went wild.

E.g., tomder, July 28, 2021: "After Hoover's death the FBI was turned over by Nixon to L Patrick Gray . But that pissed off the #2 guy in the agency ;Mark Felt."

yes that pissed off Felt so he pissed on Nixon's presidency. If you are an Aussie the word means drunk or universally it means angry. In old English' piss a bed 'was a dandelion . Dandelions are diuretics . Back in the days of Chaucer it was a perfectly acceptable word to use.

It's not a word I use but it's not really a big deal. I was just trying to get WG pis... er, aggravated. It's used several times in the KJV ("pisseth against the wall") as a reference to men.

More and more people are being suckered into getting EVs . But what happens when these cars get old and need replacement parts like oh maybe a battery ?

Florida family: Car battery replacement pricier than electric car | wtsp.com

Avery Siwinski who is 17 years old was excited to get a car to drive herself to and from school. Her parents spent $11,000 on a used electric car for her. It's a Ford Focus Electric. The car is a 2014 model, with 60,000 miles.

"It was fine at first," Avery Siwinski said. "I loved it so much. It was small and quiet and cute. And all the sudden it stopped working."

Avery Siwinski had her car for six months before her dashboard started to light up with problematic symbols.

"In March, it started giving an alert," she said. "And then we took it to the shop and it stopped running."...................

"The Ford dealership had advised us that we could replace the battery," he said. "It would only cost $14,000."

$3,000 more than what the family bought the car for. And that quote didn't include installation and labor costs,

Well worth watching. As it turns out, when you factor in the carbon emissions produced in the manufacturing of EVs, they don't have the advantage one might think.

The left is CO2 created in tons while the bottom is miles in thousands.

He misses an important point. Mining the rare earth minerals that are used in renewable technology has enormous environmental impacts . Even getting a small amt of them requires vast areas of excavation and processing with heavy equipment .

The mining also extracts large volumes of toxic and radioactive material, due to the co-extraction of thorium and uranium; radioactive metals that are found in areas where rare earth metals are located .
    The waste itself is toxic
    https://ecojungle.net/post/lithium-e...ing-wastes.jpg

Also recycling the metals used in batteries is a process that is not clean. It requires the use of corrosive chemicals and also high temperatures.

The guy was talking about replacing a billion internal combustion vehicles . More realistic is 125 million EVs by 2030. The demand for minerals like lithium will only increase . The next wave of environmentalism will be to manufacture clean batteries that don't leave a footprint .

Good luck with that . Bottom line is that unless we go back to being foot traveling hunter gatherers then we will leave an impact on the earth's environment .
