Do you think he cares who gets elected, only if they will give him his wall, to be known as the great wall of Trump

And they will fly over it, built ladders taller than it is, and burrow under it.

If dems take the house he can forget his wall, unless he bends over and gives up a lot more than he has so far. Yes he definitely cares who wins the midterms. Any president would.

he needs the GOP majority . I don't see how he loses it the way the economy is peforming . But he will not have enough of a majority to get his way legislatively . So he will continue to use the emperor's solution to advance his agenda . No change ;no difference. As far as the death of the GOP ....it can't happen soon enough. Like the dems ;the GOP is in death spasm mode .

the Dems are turning radical left . I can show you video of many of the Dem leaders who not very long ago were calling for border security .

the Repubics have been a fraud. I've listened to them since the mid-80s calling for conservative ,limited ,constitutional governance . But when they get in power they sell out . What they have now adopted out of convenience in big government national populism .Trump don't know if yet ,but that coalition will sell out and merge with the Bernie Sanders socialist wing to form a new coalition (both Trump and Sanders agree on more positions than most realize ). What has to emerge from the remnants is a tea party like conservative party .

It's starting to look like establishment repubs are becoming independents and voting with the dems right now. The Dufus isn't on the ballot and politics tends to be local. November is shaping up to be more than just the economy though, and we will see if dems keep this immigration fiasco alive that long. The Dufus is adept at changing the news cycle and creating a different crisis to make you forget the last one.

Watch out for the effects of those tariffs the next few months.

I agree about the tarriffs . The immigration thing will remain until the election and then disappear for another 2 years . The Russian ruse is backfiring big time . The investigators are now going to be the investigated and the econony is not going away

The economy is always subject to change and the tariffs will surely accelerate a rise in prices on many sectors of this great economy. Yeah I have been through a few great economic cycles and they always slowdown. You already know that though.

No surprise since repubs run in the other direction. For every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. Just like those rust belt oldsters felt left out, of course the youths feel the same way.

Congratulations to Alexandria Ocaslo-Cortez who represents the Bronx district I grew up in when that area was working- and middle-class Irish, Jewish, and Italian. We even had a few Yankee ballplayers living in that neighborhood during baseball season.

God bless her and the light she will bring to the dark halls of Congress.

all the punsters got that vote wrong ;just like the 2018 Presidential election ;and for the same reason .....reporters have forgotten how to gumshoe . My district was gerrymandered out of existence . So even though I live across the river ;my district is majority Westchester and the Bronx .
