That's the easy way out to say that all young people are spoiled lazy brats. Some are, but we seldom see the good ones who make no noise but just keep working to get where the want to be despite facing many obstacles.

I won't speak to opinions and experience of others, nor justify my own, but I can say from what I have seen, and lived through that these young people in GenX, are learning the hard way HOW to work hard, given the unemployment, laws, and rising educational debts, and other factors out of their control.

But lets be real, the world we do control all of us boomers, is not much to brag about, and we have sorely failed in guidance, discipline, and example to give our children a proper path. So what do you expect of some of these half raised morons we have to deal with?

They all are not half raised, nor are they morons. I know that for everyone we b1tch about though, there are 10 who keep it moving in the right direction, some despite their moron parents.

One of my jobs at the public library was the volunteers, many of whom are teens. I remember saying to a group just before I retired, "I had been worried about the world after reading stuff about young people, but you guys have shown me I can die happy."
