That's what's great about our system. If you don't trust them then you don't have to take them.

I choose to take them so that my body can build up an immunity... Like the MMR shots our children take.

Previously mentioned... the polio shot... Some think it was eradicated prior to the invention of the vaccine... I beg to differ only because one of my professors had polio because her parents refused to give her the vaccine. She now walks on crutches, and is in a wheelchair most of the time.

As I tell my patients frequently....we hear and remember the bad stories because they happen so infrequently. Rarely do we remember the good outcomes only because they are so common.

Well, I'll probably pass, I think it's time for me to get the flu. I might still get the seasonal shot I always get, but this swine flu thing doesn't concern me.

Plus, I love sick days. I don't have to do anything but lay around the house all day and watch cartoons.

Fully agree that the best preventive is building up your immune system. I'll add taking echinecea at the onset of any symptoms. There is a wealth of documented clinical studies that show it increases the number and activity of immune cells ;and stimulates white blood cells that fight infection.

But don't take it on a routine basis ;only when symptoms are detected ;and take at least a week off if you have been using it for 8 weeks. Also since we don't know if it is the root or the flowers that works best you should probably take both . It has an excellent safety record but if you have allergies to plants like ragweed then I don't recommend taking it.

Yeah I know I heard you are only suppose to take echincea like two weeks on and two weeks off at the most when you may be most vulnerable to getting sick especially if you take goldenseal with it.

Here's a hypothetical question.

What happens if the H1N1 virus mutates and becomes something more deadly than it is now? What happens if we start seeing cases worldwide of people really getting this thing and dying more often than surviving? Say a 60% death rate if you get it. And it is spreading at pandemic levels... multiple cases cropping up in every part of the world. But there's a flu vaccine that has shown an ability to protect people from the disease.

First of all, in that situation would you take the vaccine if offered?

Second, do you believe that the government has the right/responsibility/authority to force people to take the vaccine in order to stop the spread of the disease... EVEN if people don't want to take it? Is forced immunization ever an option?

Again, this is a purely hypothetical question. But I'd like your opinions.

That is why they say the vaccines don't even work a lot of times because they can only predict the strain and then if it mutates the vaccine isn't going to help anyway.

If it mutates to that degree then they will most likely mandate the shot and then I and others will do or best to still avoid it.
Forced immunization should never be an option. Tell me never to leave my house if I won't take the shot. Anything but don't stick that needle in me.

Don't have to go to hypotheticals . There are already mandatory immunization programs before attending schools ;although most states have religious exemptions ,and some States have personal belief exemptions.

Sapph you have a good theory there, but you know ultimately it will be so easy to wipe most of us out they won't need the mark to control us, just a little modified virus and goodbye

I have had flu shots and there is a great advantage to not getting the flu, I haven't had it this year even though I didn't get the shots:)

I know they don't need the mark to control us but it seems they enjoy the game. I mean they have been setting it up for YEARS when they could have already wiped us out by now.

I guess they can't go against Revelation where it lays out what is going to happen.

My son was just telling me a couple hours ago that they already are advertising through the National Guard for the brown shirts.

Up here in eskimo land I haven't heard anything about flu shots for the H1N1 and I am in healthcare.

I have heard that a lots o unnecessary hype has been going around regarding this flu that is not necessary.

There have been minimal deaths from it here and from what I see, some who have supposedly died from this flu had other symptoms that were life threatening as in pre-existing medical issues. I don't see any seniors taken by this flu, just young people with healthy immune systems.
