Darn near as confusing as McCain, "au contraire"? :D :D That's just too funny coming from the king of obfuscation! But it's the pot calling the kettle black no doubt. And it has me blushing, you say? Nay, nay, sire! Obama had the Very SAME opportunity to campaign in West Virginia as did Hillary, FYI! It's the same as with Florida and Michigan. The fact he CHOSE not to campaign in those states speaks volumes about how much he truly cares for the people in those three Great States and their issues! Hillary, by contrast, cared enough to want EVERY vote to count! So, it must be Obama that is more than blushing at his naïveté for not campaigning where he should have! But, you can't cry over spilled milk! People in those states sure appreciate Hillary Clinton for caring about them enough to go visit them!

    Hello Sky:

I've been watching you spin your little head off ever since you arrived.

I don't know what you think about the rules, but I think we should stick to 'em. Those parties in those states decided to move their primary's KNOWING that it would invalidate their votes. They did it anyway. I don't know why people break the rules. Do you?

Now again, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't campaign for votes that won't count. I wouldn't vote for someone who did. It don't make no sense to me.

Them there's the rules. Now you can change 'em if you can... But, so far, you ain't.

Regardless of your spin, spinmeister, it looks like the votes may very well be counted after all in Florida and Michigan may very well soon follow! That is good news for Hillary Clinton! I commend the DNC for its change of heart!

    "votes that won't count"

So Obama does not think the votes of the citizens in Florida, Michigan, and now West Virginia do not count? This is Obama's form of democracy? Can't wait till the general election. If Obama wins the Democratic nomination , you know this will be an issue brought up this fall and could cost him victory.

Is that because he is too busy campaigning in in the other 57 states with 2 that he has not visited yet. :D

    Hello in:

Obama didn't make that decision. The DNC did. Oh, never mind. You're not listening anyway...

Is Obama endorsing that Florida and Michigan be counted?

    I think not.

It is not to his POLITICAL advantage, forget the principle that each vote should count.

So much for "change" - he is just another politician.

Why should a vote in an invalid election be counted?

I need to refresh "SkyGem" and "inthebox" memories as apparently the ginkobaloba wore off. It was the DNC with the support of one Hillary Clinton that warned Florida and Michigan not to move up their election dates or be penalized. Sen. Obama agreed to those rules and didn't campaign in Florida and didn't even have his name on the Michigan ballots. The delegates will be seated, but not from an illegal election last ditch effort by the flip-flopping Clinton camp. As one news commentary pundit put it concerning reality, "Hillary's in a parallel universe." BTW Sen. Edwards endorsed Obama today!

Just so you know, gingkobiloba has never been proven as a memory enhancer.

The Michigan and Florida issue is a problem for the Democrats. How can they win the general election without either one of these states? It would piss me off if I voted in their primary and not have it counted by the DNC.

Why did Hillary campaign in these states and have her name on the ballots?
Perhaps she wants the presidency more than Obama?

Haven't the Democrats learned anything from 2000 or 2004?

Every state, every vote counts. If Gore had won his home state of TN's 11 or even the 6 electoral votes in Clinton's Arkansas, he would have been president.

What kind of strategy is it of Obama to ignore WVa and KY? Is it that the media seems to pressing Clinton to quit? Or is it Obama's arrogance to think he does not need the electoral votes of WVa and KY? After all, these states fit into his demographic "bitter" group of "clinging" to guns and religion.

This is far from the OP's question, I know.

Seriously, do you really the DA/DT policy is really going to matter to soldiers voting this Tuesday at Ft Campbell or Ft Knox?

The DNC has some strange rules that is for sure. Since they make the rules they at least ought to see what a big public relations disaster their rules have wrought. Super delegates ;proportional allocation of delegates;disenfranchising whole states ;the rush for early primaries all need to be revisited . I for one hope they don't seat Fla. And Michigan . McCain needs all the states he can get.

As if the election process isn't long enough as is. Letting them get in even earlier would just drag this theatrical show out even longer with even more crap flung around.

I for one am glad that the process dragged on this year. For most of the year the Dems looked content to nominate an unvetted candidate.

But they are not alone. I would suggest that the Republicans close their primaries and restrict them to registered Republicans only . I am positive that McCain is the product of the "cross over" vote in the primaries . That is why he still gets such a high number of protest votes in the later primaries .

Personal experience?? Just jesting with you. It's big down in Brazil, but I agree it's more snake oil than cure.

Both Florida and Michigan will be seated at the DNC. Forty-eight states got it right and Hillary decided to campaign in the two states that she agreed would be penalized. Hillary would sale her soul to get the candidacy. She's been fighting reality for weeks now.

Nope! Apparently not in Florida. Always seems it's something surrounding controversy and to think they did this to themselves. If Vegas posted odds concerning Florida finding a way to screw up an election it would go off at even money.

Every legal vote counts. Are you oblivious to the primary rules??

Apparently a winning strategy. Obama's ahead in the delegates count. BTW I'm clinging to my gun. In fact my wife and I are scheduled for a range visit.

Personally I think it's a decoy issue when we are still searching for answers to the Iraqi blunder. If the White House lawn was overrun by rebels I don't think Dubya would be contemplating if his armed service guys were gay or straight.

    Gays in the military:

If anyone is STUPID enough to want to join the armed forces, be they Gay, Straight, Black, Muslim, Jewish, Transsexual, Christian, Sikh, Lesbian... let them do it. They deserve it.

The armed forces should not be a coveted career.
