The last I heard, locally, they downgraded the death toll to 4 confirmed, but there are several (20-30) still missing.

Unfortunately, they had to call off the recovery due to bad diving conditions, and just recently were able to get back into the water.

Ahh okay I probably got it confused then. I came in right at the rear end of the conversation on the news.

    Synnen,
That's good news that the loss is as low as this.
    How are you holding up?
Besides the obvious, how are people getting around without this major traffic artery? Not every one can use Cedar Ave bridge.. Everything else is just so far out of the way. Traffic must be FUBAR big time!

I'm holding up well... I do scheduling of people driving around the city for my job, so that has been a logistical nightmare, but they're saying probably 2 years before a new bridge, so we'll have to get used to it.

94 is also open, as is 280, neither of which is HORRIBLY out of the way.

I'm lucky... I lost no one, and have no one missing. I'm praying for all those that do.

    Thank you so very much.

Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated by everyone in the Twin Cities area.

That stuff just plain sucks, I've been on that bridge a bunch of times before, going to Twins Games. I have a lot of family in that region too, but none that were on the bridge thankfully...
