I hope a few more useless politicians leave Barack's administration. I could careless what these under the table thieves call themselves, Dem's or Pubs. We already have too many politicians in both parties sucking up to Wall Street instead of Main Street with large corps that feed the CEO bonuses with our money. I am VERY APPRECIATIVE that Barack has chosen to restrain salary caps, and stock option payolla on large companies, mainly banks. Maybe, just maybe, we can ground a few more golden parachutes that's using my money.

I like the honesty from the President, "I screwed up"; quite a departure from the previous administration.

And it won't be long before the government decides what everyone is allowed to make.

I think there should be an executive order telling Hollywierdos how much they can make per movie.

The pattern continues. Obama's pick for Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis, also has some tax issues.

    Quote:

The husband of President Obama’s Labor secretary nominee paid about $6,400 Wednesday to settle tax liens that had been outstanding for as long as 16 years against his business, the Obama administration told USA TODAY this afternoon.

The disclosure came shortly before a scheduled 2 p.m. meeting of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which will vote on Rep. Hilda Solis’ nomination as labor secretary. The hearing was postponed; no reason was immediately revealed.

Los Angeles County records showed 15 outstanding state and county tax liens against Sam Sayyad and his auto repair business, totaling $7,630. Two other liens worth $981 were released in 1999 after Sayyad repaid the taxes owed, according to county records.

Ex, I think we have a new dufus…

Tapper: “I think that’s fairly pertinent. You don’t?”

Please Mr. President, don’t throw this guy under the bus. We need some comedy relief.

Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, who is pushing the restoration of the Fairness Doctrine, thinks the Senate will hold hearings on the matter.

    Quote:

"I think it's absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it's called the Fairness Standard, whether it's called something else," Stabenow said.
Might as well call it something else because it isn't fair, so let's try the "We don't give a crap about the first amendment doctrine." Seems she needs this to pass so her husband,Tom Athans, can keep a job. Poor guy, "co-founder and former CEO of the liberal-progressive Democracy Radio" and former executive vice president of Air America, was caught in a prostitution sting back in April.

That Democrat culture of corruption train just keeps on rollin'. No conflicts of interest here for Stabenow and her hubby, "John."

OK then , let's tell every recipient of Federal money for a college education what they can do for a living or how much they can make.

Wow! That was a super leap! You went from educational purposed grants and our youth to trying to save old goats bonuses to keep their golden parachutes intact.

It is not a leap at all if you are tying strings to the receiving of Federal dollars . Don't kid yourself ;there are many lefties who already think college money should be tied to community /national service performed . It won't be long before they tell new graduating doctors that they have to commit a certain number of hours to the new socialized gvt. Clinics and when we go socialized medicine we already know that their salaries will be capped.

Let's see... our children's education versus some fat cat CEO's bonus money. That took all of two seconds to resolve! You just keep paying on your doctors Mercedes Benz and satisfying insurance companies. Not me! You'd risk a country to keep the few fat.

Instead you vote to give madam speaker a private jet that is capable of making the leap from DC to California every Thursday afternoon. Give free and unrestricted health care to congress. Exorbitant salaries to congress that is not capable of making any bills that make any sense to or for the average citizen. Private cars and drivers for members of congress, pay little or no taxes and when they get caught pay the tax and no penalties. You trust those people? Then there is that lawyer for the porn industry that Nobama wants as the AG? What part or rip off don't you understand from our government?

It may have resolved things for yourself but it didn't address tom's point at all.

I can go along with the stick it to the rich populist pablum . I'm going to keep my eye on the flood of high end properties in Westchester County that will plummet in value when the fat cats dump their houses on the market. That should help the Real Estate market !

I plan on seeing what Sotheby has on auction ;maybe one of those Mercedes can be picked up for the price of a new Chevy .

It won't do a thing to fix the economy but that's not what is at issue. Let's rally behind the Huey Long of our times! Stick it to them!! It won't help you or me . But we'll feel good about it .

Once their salaries are capped of course they will leave these jobs and move on to investment banks not affected like Lazard. We'll see what type of talent replaces them .

These banks will linger on like zombies ,sucking more life support from the gvt to stay afloat while the best people in the field go elsewhere. We won't let them die and we set up the scenario where the most talented go somewhere else.

But what will be left will be pure government bureaucracy bankers who will run their banks at least as well as Amtrack runs railroads and the Post Office runs mail delivery.

I was addressing his notion of leaping into fear mongering; the PUBS thrive in that mentality. I'm not the largest proponent of Universal Health Care, but I don't want the public (my pockets included) to continue supporting the extravagant annual bonuses and eventual golden parachute plans of large CEO either. We finally got a president with a set of nads that said such.

    Tom-

Same goes for you. You remind me of the many folk that abuse the word "capitalism" to exert the wealthy to even more power, in spite of the unemployment and economic failure of our country.

I'm one of the rare group in the country who thinks for the most part the wealthy earn their wealth and many if not most of them eventually use their money to make the country a better place.

It's not fear mongering to point out what the Dems already have in mind.
