You obviously don't know the American justice system as the presumption of innocents doesn't even apply to the political system. The rules of engagement and discourse are vastly different and almost anything goes especially smears and mudslinging and all kinds of trash talking that the dufus has shown to be so good at. Maybe it's you that are touched by this derangement syndrome if you can hold your nose and dismiss the holes in in your own position, but so easily point out the holes in the positions of others.

Actually that's not a syndrome but pure hypocrisy.

As for Dr. Ford, if you are going to make accusations, you have to have evidence to back them up. You don't have to have evidence to make an accusation, but you do need it if you want to be believed. She has none. It's just that simple. I said she was credible?? No, that was you. She has very little credibility because that would require (get ready for this) EVIDENCE! update ;Brett Kavanaugh joined the court's four liberal jurists and Chief Justice Roberts in turning away a petition from Kansas and Louisiana seeking a ban on abortion providers . So much for the unfounded charges that he was going to overrule Roe . So much for the idea that the court was going to be packed with doctrinaire conservatives .

Not the first time SCOTUS punted the ball back to the lower courts and decided not to hear the case. Nor will it be the last. Maybe they are waiting for a better case, or a better time, but whatever the case, it's too soon to holler one way or another. The jury is still out! (PUN)

Now that Virginia's democratic Lt. Gov. Fairfax is the target of sexual abuse allegations, it will be interesting to see if all of you who called for Kavanaugh's head on a platter will do likewise with Fairfax.

I say investigate, just like I said with Kavanaugh. What say you?

Actually, with Kavanaugh you said to believe the accuser above all else. But yeah, I would say investigate. And at least you are willing to say that much. That makes you the rarest of rare sightings... a dem who wants to see Fairfax investigated.

I actually heard and saw Ms. Ford's testimony, I still found her exceedingly credible. I have no such observations of the Fairfax accuser at this time. She deserves to be heard. The state of Virginia seems to be in a chaotic mess at the moment.

If you think Ford's vague and hazy memory was "exceedingly credible", then your head will explode if you read this woman's account. Unlike Ford, the details are in abundance. Fairfax does not deny the encounter, but claims it was consensual. But if I had to guess right now, I would say it will be out of the news within a week. Fairfax is a liberal dem, so he will get different treatment.

Not so sure about that, as dems ZERO tolerance has already claimed liberal dems. Franken in Minnesota comes to mind. There's also the black face pranks pulled by the Gov and AG of Virginia may come into play.

Fairfax faces possible impeachment over his sexual assault allegations from the Virginia legislature. He is calling for an investigation and won't resign. Wonder if repubs will give him the same considerations as they did Kavanaugh.

No evidence, just allegations which he denies. So much for the question of will dems serve his head on a platter like they did Kavanaugh. In this case though it won't just be dems since no way would repubs defend a dem right?
