Autonomy for the woman who wants to abort but none for the woman who does not want to assist . Government in Kam's world can compel them .

She wants Roe to be the law of the land. But Roe never legalized things like late term abortions.(legal in several states ) Roe allowed for the killing of babies until so called 'viability' outside the womb. That is recognized at about the 24th week.
In Kam's world a doctor or other health care provider who refused to be a part of a baby killing would be a criminal or subject to a lawsuit. Why a woman would want a doctor who doesn't want to do the procedure is beyond me. Then again ;why would a homosexual couple insist that a baker bake them a cake if that baker didn't want to ? I've been thinking today on the subject of why Harris and the dems lost. It's what you do when you're retired. Some things to consider would include these.
1. All of the extreme social causes, everything from drag-queen story hour to the woke culture to destructive riots to mandating sex-change surgeries for young children with no input allowed from parents, are all associated with democrats.
2. The nauseating political activism of the Hollywood elite. This includes everything from late night television to movie and television scenes that openly promote left-wing causes. People have become weary of the "know it all" attitude of these people. Think of "The View" and "Madam Secretary".
3. A growing suspicion that our culture is becoming sicker by the day and is approaching a place from which we might not be able to recover.
4. Concerning Harris, there was a perception that she was either hopelessly uninformed and inept, or that she bordered on being cowardly due to her refusal to face press conferences and interviews from potentially unfriendly journalists.
5. The abundantly clear evidence that the vast majority of the supposedly politically impartial national news media were, in fact, all in for democrat candidates and causes.
6. Most pols lie, but the dems took it to a place of absurdity, and did so while trying to maintain a posture of innocence and morality. For instance, there was the never-ending accusation that Trump tried to encourage and even lead an insurrection on 1/6, or that he was a Hitler-like fascist who would end democracy. After a time, it just became too much.
What did I leave out?
When I watched Ms. Harris give her concession speech, I felt it was truly from her heart and not the concoction of political operatives. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if she had done more of that in the past four months. And I say that with great gratitude that she did NOT win.
All that is true But don't you know ? uneducated white women ;misogynistic Black men ;and misogynistic and racist Hispanics formed a coalition against her. Doesn't matter that NO ONE in the Dems ranks wanted her . They thought when they staged a coup against Joe ;led by San Fran Madam Mim ;that they would install San Fran Gavin Newsom in her place. Joe knee capped that plan with his quick endorsement of Kam.
Then on top of that Oct 7 massacre in Israel split the party. Instead of picking Shapiro of the critical swing state of PA for Veep she went with Elmer Fudd from a state she did not have to contest. Why not Shapiro ? Because he is Jewish and the SQUAD antisemitic coalition was never really on board . Trump flipped Michigan . I never saw that coming . Why did he win there ? Because she was seen as a phony. The week before the election she was running pro-Palestinian ads in Michigan; and pro-Israeli in Pa. Did she think no one would see that ?
She could not reconcile her 'we need change message ' with her frequent comment that she could not think of a thing she would've done differently .
She could not explain her clear 180 degree turn in policies ;what I called her 'road to Damascus conversions from the consensus the most radical lefty in the Senate to the positions she ran on. On many issues she could've been wearing a MAGA hat .
As you said she tried Joe's campaign from the basement strategy . That worked in 2020 due to covid. This year there was no other conclusion that she was a coward
Making Trump the issue was a dumb idea. She needed to make the case why we should elect her . Everyone already knew where they stood with Trump . After 4 years of the current regime ;he did not seem so bad. And she was not giving anyone a reason to vote for her.
SCOTUS ending Roe ended abortion as a national issue. Every state has their own version of an abortion law and to be quite honest ;what the Dems call the most severe law by conservatives is the standard for Europe. Only 3 countries don't restrict abortions after 12 weeks . NONE allow 3rd term . The left of American is the most radical in the world on this issue.

One more thing . The indictments turned Trump into a sympathetic person who was taking the hit so we would not have to . The assassination attempts added an exclamation point. The indictments were the biggest blunder by the Dems .
Two great points.
The Dems chose to champion the wrong "woman's right" . Abortion was a flop because Trump wisely decided to reject support of national legislation. But against all criticism about his hammering away about women's rights vs transformer rights ;it turns out that the public doesn't want men in dresses stalking girls locker rooms .

My own thinking is that the Dems will be in a hopeless downward spiral as long as their fundamental policy is identity politics. Identity politics needs victims . Victims eventually become the oppressors . In the end they eat their own.
Biden and Harris were both fairly weak candidates. JB won only because of Covid, and Harris got to the top of the totem pole only because of her race and gender.

Not too sure how I feel about this election. The economy didn't help the dems. Their association with every weird trend from drag queen story hour to "women" who just happen to have penises engaging in women's sports also didn't help. Harris was a fairly weak candidate on top of it all, so Trump was able to win convincingly.
Might mention one more thing. The plain and obvious leftward lean of the MSM has become so obvious that I wonder if some people aren't lodging a protest vote against this attempted brain-washing.
