This is intended as an open posting for the Dem convention scheduled to start next week. There the immaculation of Kam the Sham will be celebrated (she has already officially been nominated by virtual crowning ) .

It promises to be a progressive love fest .

The problem is that there are still some semi-traditional Dems running for office in states that don't rush to support progressives .

Senators Sherrod Brown of Ohio ;Jon Tester of Montana ;and Jacky Rosen of Nevada have opted out of the convention. I'm sure there are others ;but these 3 stand out. The Senate is up for grabs . I wonder how many Dems running for office are planning on grabbing onto Kam's coat tails .
Trump won both Ohio and Montana in 2020 . Clueless Joe won Nevada in a nail biting 3 %

I will be curious to see how the Dems handle to split in their party between their Jewish constituency and their very aggressive antisemite wing.

As you know ;Chi-town is a generally lawless town where the Dems love to riot.

as I recall ;Chi-town has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. One of the highest rates of gun violence and not a gun shop or civilian gun ranges to be found in the city. Illinois is only state with no provision to let private citizens carry guns in public.

Seems to me that these strict gun laws only prevent law abiding citizens from arming themselves .

I'm sure the irony escapes them. The Dems have built an impenetrable fence "wall" surrounding their convention center . A photo ID is required to enter ....not just for attendees ;but for anyone who wants to enter the security perimeter even if they live in the area.

Not any more . Planned Parenthood has set up a mobile center at the convention to offer free abortions and vasectomies .

The security perimeter did not prevent a antisemitic protester from disrupting the opening of the convention.

One protester was seen grabbing a microphone from a person on stage at the event on Sunday night, according to videos posted on social media.
"150,000 people are dead," the protester yelled. "You are funding a genocide.

By the Dem logic (and an argument made here ) ;this proves that the fencing is ineffective . It should therefore be dismantled

Chi-town businesses are boarding up their shops as if they anticipate a hurricane .....or maybe a riot.

They expect 100,000 mostly peaceful demonstrators to converge on the town . Now this is going be Dem on Dem action . But Repubs should take note . If they can mobilize 100,000 mostly peaceful demonstrators to protest Dems ,what happens when they join to protest in red cities or if Trump wins ?

January they tried to tear down a fence protecting the White House.

And that was no where's near 100,000 strong.

Perhaps Chi-town is the perfect place to demonstrate to the nation ;progressive liberal policies on display. The city is plagued with high crime ;a murder rate that would make Al Capone blush ;failed schools and a fiscal mess ( $538 million hole, and there’s a $51 billion pension debt) Retail theft is so prevalent that there are vacancies up and down the shopping district of 'The Magnificent Mile'

At the Republican convention everywhere you looked you saw people carrying and draping themselves in American flags. So far at the Dems convention all I see is Palestinian flags.

The protesters breached the fence a few times .The Chi-town cops gave them appropriate therapeutic back massages before their arrest. Those arrested know they will be forgiven.

The theme of the convention is supposedly joy . But there was no joy in Chi-town ; the Dems struck out .Speaker after speaker spewed vitriol.

The joy must've been putting Clueless Joe out of his misery . They made sure no one was awake as he demonstrated why it is overdue to put him out to the pasture.

The most ironic line goes to Mallory McMorrow ;a Michigan Dem who went to the podium with a copy of Project 2025 (which Trump has repeatedly said he has nothing to do with) ;and then said with a straight face that "

“Donald Trump would be able to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents! He could even turn the FBI into his own personal police force!”

Where has she been for the last 8 years ?

This is exactly what they did in 2020. That is what they did this year to get Kam the Sham as the nominee. 14 million Dem primary voters disenfranchised.

So who came to the podium to speak next ? Illionois Guv JB Pritzer billionaire heir to the Hyatt hotel empire .He bragged about being a billionaire. And accused Trump of not being the right kind of billionaire.

This seems so typical. Michelle Obama wore a nearly $3K pantsuit to the DNC while touting her parents were 'suspicious' of the wealthy. But not to worry. I'm planning on wearing my 3K suit to church Sunday. I only need to get out there and buy one!

In the meantime, former President Obama told everyone that he was proud to have Mr. Biden as his president. That is the same Mr. Biden that the Obamas spent a lot of time talking him into NOT running for reelection. Oh well.
