I had a FALSE positive UA-they retested it.. it came back POSITIVE AGAIN!
A few weeks back I had a UA for alochol(they do EtG tests) and my couselor told me I failed it. I am 300% certain no alcohol has been in my system for months. I told her I did not have ANYTHING to drink and told her to resend it back to the lab. Well, it came back today and it was POSITIVE again for ETG. I don tknow how this could happen. Is there any advice I could get? I don't know if I should get a DNA sample done to make sure that's my urine, or a hair folicle or what! Im taking these UA's because I got into some legal trouble(DWI), and there is NO WAY in hell I am going to JAIL for something I didn't do. My parents were almost bawling when they found out what happened to me. I was with them THE WEEKEND before I took the UA test(Monday). I know there are a lot of reasons people get FALSE positives. I never knew I would be one of those people. I am in desperate need of help. I have been struggling with alcohol for the past 5 y ears, and I have been doing great for the past 4 months! I recently got 2 jobs and attending AA meetings weekly. I can't believe this happened to me when I'm doing EVERYTHING right. Please let me know if you have any input, I would greatly apperciate it.

    Thanks, natalie.

I don't know how false positive it was when you admitted to drinking alcohol on this same site - https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/addict...rs-579327.html.

And drinking again here - https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/addict...es-579132.html

You've been doing great for 4 months... but you are still drinking? Perhaps you should decide on a story and stick to it - ?

I admitted to drinking 2 weeks after I took my UA which was DUMB of me. I took the ua 5-25, I drank 4-31. During the time I had my UA, I took a UA Saturday (5-23) PASSED THAT, UA 5-25(FAILED THAT), 5-28 passed that. I've passed every single UA I've had to take. I have been busting my *** at staying sober and I've been doing a great job. That weekend BEFORE I took my UA I went to a AA meeting Saturday NIGHT, SUNDAY NIGHT had a nice family dinner with my family. There was NOTHING again.. NOTHING in my system!!
