    NVidia GPU Settlement!
As some of you may be aware, there is a proposed settlement for those who have bought various laptops with NVidia GPU's/MCP's.

The following is the reason for the settlement:
"The lawsuit claimed that NVIDIA sold defective Graphics Processing Units (“GPUs”) and Media and Communications Processors (“MCPs”) that affected the performance of some of the computers in which they were incorporated. NVIDIA denies all allegations of wrongdoing and has asserted many defenses." - nvidiasettlement.com

Here's my question. I have one of these affected laptops. (yes, I have confirmed that mine is on the YES list) before this settlement was in place I tore my laptop apart, from top to bottom, trying to figure out what was going on. Void tags were tore in the process.

Does this void me from being reimbursement/replacement eligible if the settlement goes through?

If the laptop has been tampered with, I would imagine, yes it would be void of the settlement.

I don't know why you find that ridiculous, IT. No elecrtronic equipment can be returned if its been tampered with. But its your dime, so go ahead. Don't know why you asked though.
