I totally agree with you ( shocking isn't it? ;) ) I believe the fear Paul is referring to is more about reverence, respect, AWE. But I knew a woman that was teaching a class at a local church and she kept throwing that verse up as if it meant we could lose our salvation. I never confronted her but all I could think of was WOW, I bet Noah was so glad he was put INTO the ARK and not left to hang onto it.
