    Strange Behavior? Peeing in cup
My coworker has a 6-year-old son. He stated to me yesterday that when he woke up in the morning and went in the bedroom to check on him, he was awake and up. There was a cup with pee in it in the room. When my coworker asked him about it the boy said that he didn't know where it came from. My coworker asked me to post it on here and see if anyone has any idea. Could he have been sleepwalking? Or did he knowingly do it and lie about it? Why would a child do an action such as peeing somewhere other than the toilet?

Could be sleepwalking. Or the boy my have some fears at noght that keep him from going into the hallway. Is there a night light ? As a child I had great fears of what was under my bed. I wet the bed sometimes until about eight years old. I needed a night light and my door wide open .

Did he have a cup in his room? He could have done it in his sleep, picked up a cup from his dresser and "thought" he was in the bathroom.

Since he doesn't remember, there is a good chance he was sleep... walking ;)

I did the same thing. Kids at that age are terrified of dark late night trips to the can. I peed in a container and you better believe I would have been very embarrassed if I were to be caught. It's so easy to just pee in the cup (and not really even have to put your feet on the ground)rather than flush the toilet and let me tell you, that noise late at night by yourself is pretty scary to a six year old. My little brother at six would sit down on the edge of the bathtub at 2 in the morning and pee right in the tub. "That's a sleep walk." But to precisely aim your penis into a cup and not splash the entire room is very controlled and I believe is not sleep walking. The other option is lazy, I mean people used to use bed pans and leave them under their bed at night. So I would think it is a lot more normal than you think, I lied when I was that old to protect my little ego, I remember it all so well.
