    Children Sharing rooms
I am a serving soldier and currently have a 3 bedroom house in which my 6 year old son has a box room to himself and My 10 year daughter is sharing with her 17 year old step sister. Add to this that most holidays my two 15 year old step sons visit us and we have to have a masive jig about. At the moment I am being told that until all 3 that permanantly reside are over 10 then my 6 and 10 year old should share. However she is off course becoming self aware and consequently share with her elder sister but she wants to have her own space understandably.

Is there any rules that you know off that says this is not right or advise on where I can seek further info.

    Kind Regards

    Tony

Generally there are no rules on this. Some public housing or social services agencies might have some guidelines when they have to get involved.

I gather the room your 6 yr old occupies is too small to accommodate the step sons as well.

Is there any other space that might be converted? Basement? Attic?

I think there are rules in this situation but are mainly directed to coed room sharing. Its hard because the military doesn't always work with you on things. I grew up a military brat and then married military. The best thing you can do is make the best of the situation.
