I am going through the same thing, I have a little boy who is fixing to turn 2 and he has started this temper tantrum mess.

Don't get overwhelmed with it, put him in a safe place and take a break from the tantrum. I will stick my little boy in the highchair and step outside a minute. Keep him in veiw though so nothing happens.
I try not to feed into his tantrums by ignoring them. I make sure he is not hungry, not wet, and is comfortable. And If all are OK then he is just crying for attention. Also he could be cutting more teeth.

Thank you for the advise and no he is not too old to be in diapers he just turned two in April and he is a boy! They are hard to train when I feel he is ready I will train him at this moment I would like to work on the tantrums first and then address the diapers! Your comment seemed a bit ruid so please choose your words carefully this is not a site to be judged on.
