Is it normal for a 10 year old boy to act like this?
Okay, we'll my little brother is 10. He doesn't act like normal children. He doesn't like any sports, he doesn't like to hang out with friends, etc. He over reacts to everything. Like, one time I "stepped on" his words and he started screening, then he would ignore everyone. Then one time me, my grandparents and my brother were out to eat and me and my brother were playing tick- tac- toe as we were waiting for our food and I was joking around and I took 2 turns to win and he started crying. And he wouldn't eat... Now me and my brother don't have a dad. And we don't have a lot of money. And we don't have a lot of family. And my moms ex boyfriend just left us about 6 months ago. Because he cheated on my mom. But we looked up to him as a dad. And now he's Gone... I was just wondering if my brothers behavior is normal because he is driving me crazy. To the point where I want To strangle him. What should I do?

Ask your mom about looking into Big Brothers so that he can have an adult male figure that can take him places too.

A large group of boys and men do not like sports, many prefer chess or math or reading a book.

He sounds slightly emotion, but considering, not much different from many.

Yes, some programs at Y, more social activities will help

May I ask how old you are and how you behave toward him? Is he reacting to an older sibling constantly picking on him and frustration from being teased or 'cheated'? How often do you 'jokingly' take two turns to 'win' a game?

Has he always been 'sensitive' or has it gotten worse since your mother's boyfriend left? How long had they been together?

How do your mother and grandparents react?

My mom and her boyfriend were together for 6 going on 7 years. And he has not always been this sensitive. I don't pick on him, but he does get picked on at school a lot. And when we were playing tic tac toe I was just joking. I had no idea he would react like that. But things have gotten worse. He got mad over something a couple days ago and he threw his iPod on the ground and cracked it. I just want to know what I can do for him because I babysit him all day and I don't want something bad to happen when I watch him.
