    Afraid of pregnancy
HI, I had sex like about 6 weeks ago. The condom broke but my ex boyfriend said there was no come or pre-come and I was on my period at the time. I got a pregnancy test and it came back negatve but I'm still scared and I just want some opinions.

You will have to wait to see if your next period comes as expected. If not, wait 2 weeks and test using first morning urine.

That's what you get for playing adult games when you are still a child. If the sex was 6 weeks ago and it was during your period, your period should have been due about 2 weeks ago. When did you take this test? Its time for another.

Try taking a test, each week, till either it is pregnant or you have a period.

There is also some fluids if he was having sex, but the timing is a lot less likely.

But now, you just have to wait.

First, please don't start new questions over the same issue. I've merged your two threads. Second, the post title is supposed to tell us what your question is about. Help and Answer Me! doesn't do that.

You need to educate yourself on the reproductive process. Each cycle your uterine wall thickens in preparation of nurturing a fertilized egg. If no fertilized egg attaches, then the thickened wall is flushed from your system. This is a simplified explanation. So your period is an indication that you are not pregnant. Your period not coming is an indication you are.

So I ask, again, when was your period due?

Approximately when would be due? I realize you may have an irregular cycle, but most women have a general idea. Or tell us when your last period ended.

Ok, so if your last period was the 16th of April then its too early to take an effective test. Wait until the end of May. If you still haven't gotten it, then take a test.

You had sex on the 19th of April, and it was about the 4th day of your period, is this correct?

You won't become pregnant during a period (since ovulation has already occurred), but you can become pregnant from having sex during a period if you happen to ovulate soon after the period ends.

Since your period last month started on the 16th, and the one before that started on the 10th, your periods are a bit irregular. You aren't late by much just yet on this one. Wait another week and see if it shows up. If not, try another test at that time.

If that test is negative, you could test again the following week (if still no period), or wait and see what happens with your period for June.

In the meantime... either decide to have no more sex (don't let a penis in or near your vagina) until you are able to provide for a child should pregnancy occur, or plan to start using birth control yourself, along with your boyfriend using condoms, to lessen the chances of an unplanned pregnancy.

This is in Child & Teen Health so I have to ask...how old is the OP?

You should be scared of becoming pregnant...you're not nearly close to being ready to be responsible for a baby.

First part of that... total BS... if he was excited... then yes there was. Second part of that... some women can and do get pregnant on their period...

You are not pregnant. Pregnancy can only occur during ovulation, which takes place at least 14 days after the first day of your period.

You cannot say that 100% for certain.

Please explain how you know this is fact with this particular person. I'm guessing you did a pregnancy test as well as all hormonal tests on the OP to be so sure as to give the response you did.

Exactly what is your question? Are you asking that- in the middle of the period if you had sex then are you going to get pregnant or not, Or are you asking that If you got pregnant after having sex on your periods, whether your period can stop or not.! Which one are you asking?

If I read your new question :-

I would say, During your periods, if you had sex then some how you got pregnant (as you have mentioned above), then I don't think so the period will stop suddenly. But as others have mentioned, if you want to know whether you conceived or not because of that sex, you probably have to wait for a week or two then you take those pregnancy test, and again after a week or two take another test. Then you'll probably know.

It most certainly does NOT occur at that point of a cycle for a large percentage of women. Women are VERY inconsistent from one to the next as a group as to when ovulation occurs in their cycle.

And pregnancy can and does occur outside of that window... its only more likely during it. Some women have gotten pergnant DURING their period.
