My cat has a white film over one of his eyes what does that mean? Is it going to get worse? Should I take him to the vet asap?

It's definitely time for the vet. This doesn't necessarily indicate blindness, but if you leave it, it could end that way.

Cats can have eye disease just like humans such as glacoma, etc. He needs to see the Vet. He might have an eye infection. There are hundreds of things that it can be.
